Very tricky Temptation with 1 and 0 as the choices for the 2nd digit and 0 or 5 for the 5th. With nothing overly tempting being offered other than the cash and a $20,000 car offered it was likely the contestant would go for it, so they got the result they wanted.

Very easy Vend-o-Price, the 7 olives were way more than the four crackers.

Excellent job by Bruce in Gridlock, great to see a fellow Jerseyian be the big winner of the day!

Temptation was tricky, but only if you thought about it too much.

Other then the 3rd digit (2nd prize offered), which was a 50/50 guess, all the correct numbers were "with the odds".

Usually, at least one number is against the odds.

I agree they wanted the contestant to go for the car.  The prizes were less than stellar, the bowl of cash was less than usual, and the total was lower than usual.

One has to wonder if they wanted the car to be won!

I just noticed on the air date calendar that this episode and yesterday's were switched. It would have made sense to air Thursday's episode today, because of the showcase shilling CBS's Academy of Country Music Awards coverage on Sunday.

I am guessing that maybe they wanted to have a College Rivals show on Friday as a tie-in to the Final Four coverage on Saturday and Monday (and for all I know, there will be a Championship Game tie-in of some sort on Monday), but if that was the plan and it fell through, then why not move the ACM showcase episode back to Friday?

Would you mind explaining what you mean by "with the odds"? I don't think I follow.

Ugh, another evil Temptation setup...but the show redeemed itself with a perfect Gridlock! in the end.

Would you mind explaining what you mean by "with the odds"? I don't think I follow.

Seems like this was meaning that when the prize offered had more of one digit than the other, the one that occurred more often was correct (for instance, the first prize is $1,000 - One 1 and 3 Zeros, and Zero was correct).

Not quite the usual definition of odds, and I'm not sure it's something many would even look at, but it is an interesting occurance.

That's exactly what I meant.  I know that "with the odds" technically isn't the right wording; that's why I put it in quotes.

As BillyGr pointed out, it's very unusual for the correct number to be the most occurring number in all the prizes where it was possible for that to happen.  Usually, at least one prize has a price where the correct number is the number that appears only one time, as opposed to 3 times.

Thanks for the clarification! I love Temptation and I have never paid attention to the number of times each digit is represented in the prizes' prices - amazing that there's still more to learn after being a long-time fan! :)
