Interesting show today.

Switch?---This was HARD.  I called for a "SWITCH."  Kristianne said "NO SWITCH."  Kristianne should have SWITCHED.

Punch A Bunch: Vincent got tripped up on the second SP as well as I did.  When it came to the punches....Bob tells Vincent NOT to pull out the slip...guess what happens...Vincent didn't listen to directions!!!  Bob chastises him.
At least this time, Vincent leaves with $1,000.

Ten Chances: Yes, Caleb broke the zero rule twice and looked at the audience.  But Roger's setup was HARD!  The weather station was tricky, so was the Ford Fusion.  Oh well...

Sweet, Kristianne makes the showcase with an extra $1,000!

Most Expensive: EASY.  The bar set was screaming to be picked and Felice wins!

Cover Up: Something tells me Roger made this game hard.  However, Deborah uses the Cover Up strategy!  Too bad it did result in a loss.  On her last chance, it was between 7 or 2 for the 4th number---Deborah said 7, I said 2.  Unfortunately, a loss.

Pick a Pair: Nicholas wins!  The audience didn't like his second choice, but Nicholas shows them!

Showcases: Wow, two good bids by Kristianne and Deborah.  But Kristianne comes up short as Deborah bid well on a FRT!  Oh well...

Cover Up was blazing today.  I hope no one blinked during that segment.

The showcase writers have written brilliant showcases of late.  I can't wait to see what they are going to come up with as Barker's tenure ends.
They can be close at the top, too.

I think there should be a special showcase dedicated to Bob's retirement on Bob's last show.  I wonder if they are using it on the Million Dollar Spectacular coming up or the 35 year retrospective....

I went with Kristianne by not switching and we both lost.

That second SP was tricky. I got so annoyed when Vincent pulled out the first slip after Bob told him not to. In any event he started off with $1000 and ended with $1000.

I would get the weather station price right on the fourth chance and use the remaining chances to try get that car. That was torture seeing Caleb trying to write the price of that weather station. At some points he didn't bother to write the  0 as the last number in the price.

I knew #3 was the most expensive. Pretty easy.

That 2 certainly was the fourth digit for that car there. Too bad.

I DEFINITELY was with Nicholas in picking the candy as the second choice and the same price as the dressing ending in a win for both of us. Shame on you audience! You owe him an apology.

I wanted Felice to win the second showcase showdown.

I thought Deborah went over. Turns out she had a good bid and the big winner too in another close finish.

PG #1:  That was hard.  I also would've left the prices alone.

PG #2:  That was dirty.  Bob specifically told Vincent not to pull out the slip... and he did it anyway.  With the acting job that Bob did toward the end, I knew that Vincent was either gonna get the $1,000 back or get something bigger.

One-Bid #3:  "One billion dollars!"  :-D

One-Bid #4:  "HISTORIC WRONG #93748691643856274926193DOB!"  That happened one time last season.

PG #4:  Of course the bar set was the most expensive.

PG #5:  Deborah might have lost, but she didn't putz around.  She played faster than anybody else this season.

PG #6:  Boo on the audience, thinking that the Jelly Belly bag wasn't $2.99.

Showcases:  Dang, Roger sure loaded up those showcases today!  Deborah's bid looks DSW-quality.

My showcase bids:
Truck--$30,003
FRC/BS--$39,113

Result:  NOOOOOOOO!  I WSDd for the second day in a row!
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Switch?: Even I would've left the prices alone.

Punch: I would've slapped Vincent for pulling out the slip after Bob specifically said not to. Turning down $1K and winning it back was a major redeemer.

10 Chances: Caleb should've known better about the zero rule. DOB really made our day with the car and that weather station.

Most: So obvious.

Cover: Deborah looked like a good player, but the right numbers just didn;t pour in.

PickPair: Nice win.

Showcases: Deborah and Kristianne gave some good bids and I really thought it would be close or a DSW. I hope the ice finally breaks before Barker's final bow.

A 3-star show.

Bob was in absolute top form today.  I'm not sure there was a "senior moment" the whole hour.

I get the feeling Switch? wasn't supposed to be won today.

Bob did a heck of a buildup in Punch a Bunch.  He had me fooled -- I actually thought Vincent was going to end up with more than he'd had on his first punch.

I have to feel bad for Caleb losing Ten Chances.  Despite making a couple guesses that couldn't be right, he never made any that were bad.

While I wasn't surprised that Felice's guess in Most Expensive was right, I was surprised at how low the other two prices were.

It's really too bad Cover Up wasn't won...the usual mistakes were made, but Deborah played it pretty well overall.

I got a kick out of the end of the first showcase.

I dunno...under $16k for a Fusion?  It ain't a Focus!

(Then again...I was shocked it ended up being as cheap as it was...the Fusion has just gotten cheaper and cheaper...I remember when it was over $21,000 a year ago.)

Well last year, the show used the mid-level "SE" model with 6-disc CD changer frequently.  Now, they used the base model "S" with little options, such as anti-lock brakes, or no options at all.

I have to agree with Steve: Switch--I think Roger wanted it lost too.

I feel like I'm the only one out of the bunch that said "SWITCH."  Looks like a majority of you guys said "NO SWITCH."

Switch?: At first, I wanted to leave them alone, until I got a good look at that Bull BBQ. That's when I wanted to switch the prices for sure. I thought Kristianne was going to do that.

Punch-A-Bunch: I don't know why, but I kinda wish this game could be played for $25,000 for the daytime instead of just the nightime specials.
A personal Historic Moment: I have never seen anybody pull out the slip in the hole after Bob told them not to. I liked his scolding, which made me think he was saying a family-friendly version of it.
Well, at least it wasn't $50 again. It still feels like a total loss the way Bob showed the last slip.

Ten Chances: Caleb had some good tries; it's just the you-know-whats that made the gameplay bad. Not trying to be negative, but even if those two chances were not wasted, I don't think Caleb or I would have won the car.

Most Expensive: I know that's not the $980 mower; it has to be the bar set.

Cover Up: First came a hunch that Deborah got the first two numbers right; then came the possibility of not having the fourth number right at all. Ugh.

Pick-A-Pair: I laugh at the audience for booing Nicholas' pick of the Jelly Belly. Did they think it would be more, like $11.99?

Showcases: At first I thought Kristianne and Deborah both overbidded. Boy was I wrong with that. However, I kinda did a little quick addition as to how much Deborah's cruise and boat would total. I figured she would be the winner here.

Switch?-I thought she had won this.

Punch-a-Bunch-At least Vincent walks away with the amount of money he originally gave away.

Ten Chances-Despite some guesses that you know weren't going to be right, at least they weren't extremely stupid like 567.  At least they ended in a 5.  The weather station was the killer.

Most Expensive-Yay, our first winner of the day!

Cover Up-Man, Bob was going fast through this!  She played this game really well, but got shot down on the 4th number.

Pick-a-Pair-An easy win to end the day.

Showcases-Some really good and close bids!

I said switch them, for the record.
