This sure seemed like a "budget mode" episode to me. Just lots of tough setups top to bottom. I'm honestly surprised the day's winnings still came close to $50k.

Wow, a SCSD with a three-way tie!

Esau found a way to beat Push Over, with $13k and $11k sounding like ideal choices for the shower and tub package; good thing he picked the right one.

After all, it's that time of year, but still not as bad as what WoF is doing. For instance, the GPs in Stack weren't that difficult. That's a HUGE jug of Olive Oil there that most Supermarket Sweep contestants would grab, and the first pair had a price difference more than double between the items. That's also a MASSIVE computer monitor as well that's bigger than many TV screens. I've seen worse L7 setups too, and missing the first number by three is intuitive of a lack of good pricing skill. Also, some decent strategy in the SC by both players looking for that DSW, just off by a couple grand in opposing directions.

Reading the recap, I wasn't sure if Danger was won or lost until I saw the SCSD total. Roadgeek should simply add "LOSS" next to the final graphic.

On the other hand, though, I am upset that we failed to get ourselves a car winner today...UGH! This is getting frustrating, isn't it?

Removed unnecessary markup.

Honestly, not really.

Shell game was plenty entertaining. Drew was hilarious!

"Thank you, James! You know what's great about James? If you pull the string in the back under his neck, he talks!"
"I'm just gonna mix 'em up. Even though they're already mixed up. I'm just doing this for show while I talk."
And after the loss, getting rid of the ball by seeing Drew angrily bounce it off the table and making it ricochet onto the stage.

I care if a show has memorable, entertaining moments, but I don't really care how it gets there. I wouldn't have traded an entertaining Shell Game loss for a car won in boring fashion.
Quote from: Bill Todman
"The sign of a good game, is when you don't have to explain it every day. The key is not simplicity, but apparent simplicity. Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."

If you're referring to your posts that do nothing but point out a lack of wins, yes. Extremely so.

This, and don't forget about the "I flew [insert miles] to see TPIR". That was hilarious as well!

Very funny show as a whole!

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

I know, I guess it's just that I hate it when contestants lose like that. I guess I should man up and take those losses like a champ, huh?

I know, I guess it's just that I hate it when contestants lose like that.

I don't like it when contestants lose either. But win/loss stats don't necessarily impact whether a show is good or fun or not. I can enjoy a skunked show with fun contestants just as much as (if not more than) a perfect show with boring contestants.

I guess I should man up and take those losses like a champ, huh?

Your posts on this topic are annoying, add nothing to the discussion, don't tell us anything we couldn't already figure out from the recaps, and (most importantly) won't change anything. Those are all excellent reasons to stop posting complaints about losses. Any other reasons you can come up with, including the one I quoted, only reinforce the idea even further.
