Good show, the Cover Up win for a more expensive than normal vehicle was definitely a nice way to start things off. Only winning a $1,000 in Punch a Bunch was a letdown to end the half though.

One Wrong Price was pretty mean-- both the computer and scooter prices looked too low.

If only Mark added $1,000 to his Showcase bid, he would've been a DSW with a $30 difference.

^I'd argue that OWP wasn't mean at all. Dell computers are usually on the cheaper end, and that scooter looked at the very least $1,500.

The thing that most surprised me on this showing was the Bullseye prize package. RV rentals aren't a prize you would normally think of for Price, but it made perfect sense for a July 4th special.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

-Drew Carey, interview with Athletic, September 16, 2020

"I honestly thought the doubler was gone, but 9821 going $0 makes sense"

For those of you interested in such details, I don't know about KCBS, but there was no widespread cut-in during the show for coverage of the earthquake in the Pacific time zone.

Easily the best Fourth of July special ever! I mean, starting off with a $30,000-plus truck in Cover Up and ending with an RV trip in Bullseye...this show was enjoyable from beginning to end.

So when -- are we -- going to see Golden Road again?

This would have been perfect to play for a new Chevrolet Corvette!

Yes, the scooter's price also looked more randomly generated than the computer's, but the temptation to pick the computer because of the low price was definitely there and obviously the contestant took the bait.
