A wild, ecstatic contestant got called down and went up on stage to play a pricing game. However, he lost on his pricing game for a car, but went to the showcase and sadly, both contestants (including said contestant) got into a double overbid! After all of this, forwarding to 8 years later, this former contestant - now actor, would make its breakthrough on a classic AMC drama, Breaking Bad (17 days until 10th anniversary) as Jesse Pinkman, a college student who's also Walter's cooking partner.

That's right, Aaron Paul Sturtevant.
A man that brought excitement to start off the Year 2000 for the Price is Right with a smile.

More importantly, 18 years ago today, Rob Rosa asked for a glass of water, played Spelling Bee, and won a car.

Sorry, got off the late, late bus and just saw this Steve.

You were absolutely right when you said "most importantly."  People tend to forget that with this episode.   :-D
