Oh...oops.  The fine print always gets me... :P
Pardon my language, but I do believe we all need to calm the f*** down.

*Hears PTR'S bid badly*

Sure. I'll bid $87, and take the chance on 2.

Bidding Order:
SuperSweeper ------------> $1,499
DarkShockBro------------>$1,111
tpir04 ---------------------> $1,777
TPIRfan#9821 ------------> $87

{ding}{ding}{ding}{ding}

1233: All of the bids are in, some with more help than others.

{gives a slight glare at PayingTheRent, in the back corner  :-)}

The actual price of the fridge is...

...meaning SuperSweeper has won their way up onto stage!

{applause from the crowd}

SuperSweeper, you are going to be the first contestant ever to pick their own path on this series, so be careful. Which envelope would you like?

{chooses #1}

Okay then, let's see what we got here

{SuperSweeper opens the envelope to reveal a folded piece of paper}
{unfolds it, gives an odd look, then hands it back to me}

I honestly don't know what I'm looking at.

A color blindness test?

A ransom note?

My 3rd grade math teacher's gradebook?

...

I could keep guessing, but Mr. Announcer, please just help us out.

Announcer: Dude, it's exactly what it looks like, a bunch of 0's printed on computer paper.

1233: Oh, ok. So...

Announcer: So, there's a bunch of 0s on that page, but SuperSweeper is only going to need 4 of them because...

{GPT slides up}
{music sting starts up}

...you're gonna have a chance to win $10,000 IN CASH, playing the Grand Game!!

1233: There we go, now we're getting somewhere. Now, like Mr. Announcer put so elegently, you're gonna have to earn those 0s

So let's push that back to $1 and show the target price for the day.

{ding}
{ding}

$5.55. As always, 4 of these products are less than $5.55. If you can pick those 4, I will gladly give you 10 grand.

{cheers from audience}

Now let's hear about the groceries in the game today.

Announcer: First, we have an 8 oz tub of whipped topping

Next, we have a quart of cultured buttermilk

We have 20.5 oz of this hard-to-keep-down cereal

A 12 oz can of this orange vanilla Coke beverage

A two pack of 20 oz foaming bathroom cleaner cans

And finally, a 5.6 oz can of wild salmon

There they are, Numbers

{applause from crowd}

1233: So now that you've had a chance to think it over, where would you like to start?

{crowd throws out suggestions}

If I’m allowed to make multiple picks, I’ll say the Coke, the Cool Whip, and the salmon, in that order, please.

If not, just the Coke. ;)

*If you're alright with giving me multiple guesses, I'm OK with revealing multiple prices.  :-)

Plus, I don't think seeing the previous prices should affect your choices later on in this game

**********************************************************************************

{chooses soda}
{almost unanimous cheers from crowd}

1233: That seems like a safe bet.

{flips card}

{ding}

There's no way that was going to be more than $5. Where to next?

{chooses Cool Whip}
{more applause}

From a sponsorship point of view, it's whipped topping, not Cool Whip.  :-)

{flips tag}

{ding}

But as long as you're right, I don't care what you call it.

Next stop, $1,000.

{chooses salmon}
{audience cheers}

Ok, well let's keep it rolling. Is the salmon less?

{flips tag}

{buzz}
{stunned audience}

Wait, what? That's crazy. I knew salmon was expensive, but wow.

{flips down other tags}

You had to avoid that and the cleaning foam. I thought you had this in the bag,

I'm sorry things didn't work out better for you, SuperSweeper.

Before you leave, let me give you something.

{reaches into pocket, hands over 1 $100 bill out of the perfect bid $500}

Think of it as an advance on your winnings here ;-)

Hopefully, we can recover after this commercial break, and pray there are no perfect bids since we're all out of $100 bills

{camera pans over the whole audience, as the commercials start up}

**************************************************************

{after WAY too many sleep aid infomercials, we're back in the studio}

1233: Well, that was a tough way to start the show, but now we have nowhere to go but up.

Mr. Announcer, could you please bring us a new contestant to fill the red position.

Announcer: Why certainly, it's none other than...GameShowFan9001!!! You are the next contestant on The Price is Right!!

{cheers and applause}

1233: Now that you are all situated, let's first bring out the two Crudely DrawnTM boxes you will be able to choose from now to continue the show.

{rolled out by Manuela and Amber}

The clues for these two are as follows:

Box #1: One for Now, One for Later
Box #2: Outdated Technology

Now, the next item up for bids please.

{GPT rises up}

Announcer: It's a brand new boxing package! {modeled by Rachel}

Need an outlet for all that pent-up aggression? You can now use this mechanical boxing system to work on your jabs, hooks and...other jabs? We've also included boxing gloves and sneakers to get you looking and feeling the part.

Finally, the winner of this prize will also get a roll of Scotch tape. When you need to get even angrier, print off a picture of the most punchable face you know and tape it right onto the system.

{Rachel tapes a picture of Tom Cruise to the machine}

1233: I'm not gonna even ask why Tom Cruise. I would've went with Ryan Seacrest, but I'm not getting into it  :lol:

GameShowFan9001, can I please have your bid and your choice of a box (#1 or #2)?

I have no clue how much this is, so I'll just guess $1,111 and hope I win.

As for the box, I'll take #2 please.

Me: storms up on stage, grabs roll of duct tape, lunges at #9821, binds legs together.

Also me: "If you get up on stage, I hope you have to play Bonkers!"

Sorry, I haven't been paying attention and have been slacking in updating the thread title. Other mods, can you help with this please?

Carry on.

"Change isn't always good. Sometimes changing things is a terrible mistake." - Bob Barker

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Bidding Order:
GameShowFan9001 -------> $1,111
DarkShockBro ------------> $1,666
tpir04 -------------------->$808
TPIRfan#9821 ------------> $809

1233: Hey!!!

{reaches to yellow podium}
{grabs duct tape from tpir04}

You don't have to play nice down there, but get your own duct tape. I'm already cutting it close with the budget, and this stuff doesn't grow on trees.  :-)

Anyways, the price of the boxing package is...

...so come on up, TPIRfan#9821!!!

{applause}

To keep the show moving, which box would you like to open?

{chooses #2}

Let's see then.

{I remove the box to reveal an old phone}

This is one old fashioned phone. For all you whippersnappers in the crowd, this is what the elders would refer to as a landline.

{sarcastic oohs and aahs}

Who am I kidding? I am one of those whippersnappers!!
This thing doesn't even have the pound and star keys, where are they?

Announcer: Well, the pound sign is right over there.

{points to door 2}

1233: Wait, are you telling me you changed the WHOLE NAME, signage and all, just for a one off gag?

Announcer: Signs aren't cheap, y'know? Why else would the budget be this small for a season premiere?

{I deeply inhales while rubbing his temples}

1233: Fine, just fine. Where's the star then?

Announcer: Couldn't afford to put it up there too, so I chucked it

{I give him a dirty look as I turn back to TPIRfan and walk to the game}

1233: I'll deal with him later, but for now you are going to play Pound Sign, that coincidently plays similarly to Magic #, a game you might have actually heard of.

{some laughter}

But let's see what you will be playing for first.

{door 2 opens}

Announcer: It's a cataraft and a snowmobile!!

First, this 18 ft cataraft from NRS has great stability if you know what you're doing and has a repair kit included in case you haven't a clue! {modeled by Amber}

And this Polaris white lightning snowmobile comes with a handlebar bag and an extra tall windshield for conveinence as well as protection! {modeled by Manuela}

There they are, 123123123!!!

{camera cuts to me looking at game sign with disgust}

1233: Ugh. At least that explains the budget.  :roll:

Anyways, the cataraft is the less expensive of the two, and the snowmobile is the more expensive. I just need you to adjust this lever until there is a number between the prices of those two prizes displayed.

I'm now leaving the lever in your capable hands, while I go have a quick talk with my announcer. I'll be back in 2 minutes top.

Don't make regret leaving you up here...alone...in front of all these cameras...with minimal supervision.  :lol:

{audience start yelling out guesses}
