Variety.com is reporting that Evelyn Warfel has been promoted to executive producer/showrunner of "The Price is Right," becoming the first woman to hold the position. In non-TPIR news, the same article notes that John Quinn has been tapped to hold EP/showrunner duties on "Let's Make a Deal." Quinn holds the same duties on the "Press Your Luck" revival at ABC.

Additionally, Adam Sandler has been promoted to co-EP, in addition to remaining as Director.

Congrats to Evelyn!! I'm glad that they didn't stretch the announcement for any longer than they had to. I have the utmost faith that she'll keep the show of solid footing, while still adding her own touches to it.

I wonder if either of them would be open to bringing back retired games like Super Saver, Super Ball! and Penny Ante.  Since they didn't introduce a new game in Season 47 maybe they should think about un-retiring a few games.

the question is who moves into the “producer” position vacated by Adam since he moved to Co-EP, do Sue and Stan move to producers or they remain Co producers or does the game producer move into the producer position, and where does it leave Gina Edwards Nyman, she should be more than a Coordinating or Supervising Producer, which I thought she should have Been in a higher title years ago.

I'm going to assume you have no idea what Gina does on the show, given that I don't even know what she does on the show and I'm generally in a better position to know those things than most people.  Given that, how do you have any basis to know whether or not she should receive a promotion?

I really don’t know what she does, I know at one point she was backstage giving technicians thumbs up and thumbs down, and telling the audio booth hand over head for an overbid or no hands overhead during the one bids. There’s a picture in the golden gallery.
