I was thinking more that they would have to schedule around anything that CBS already shows (if they do - I don't remember specifically which station shows which ones, but there are usually at least NYC, Boston and Washington DC events televised) and probably more important that many people would be attending local events that evening meaning that they wouldn't be home to watch anything on TV, which would lower the ratings even more than a normal Saturday night (since oftentimes the 4th events are things that a whole family goes to).

That doesn't mean they couldn't choose to offer one, just that they might think twice about doing so, if they are trying to get people to watch it that normally don't watch the daytime version (as kind of an ad to encourage more daytime watchers).

Now that the NCAA men's basketball tournament has been cancelled, does CBS make some last-second schedule changes to air more than one new episode next week, so the season doesn't have to run too far into July?

Given that tapings were cancelled for the same reason, they'll likely keep the schedule the same.

Actually, they've already updated it slightly -- the show that was pre-empted in December and got pushed to the end of the season has now been shuffled to next Tuesday.

Part of today's episode is going to be pre-empted on the West Coast. The President is supposed to speak at 11:30 Eastern.

Er, East Coast. Nothing yet as of 11:34, though.

Turned out that it was both - the east lost the end of the show, and the west lost the start.

Just took a look at the Airdate/Tape Date schedule, and noticed a few new holes in it:

Friday 4/24 - the college episode of Kids Week is no longer there

Friday 5/8 - the Mothers Day / Baby Shower episode is no longer there

After Monday 6/1, the only episode listed is for Monday 7/6, which was moved from 12/9; I have a feeling that episode will be moved again

Actually, that's a mistake -- they already aired it on March 17.

February 3, on the other hand, still hasn't been plugged in at all.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, I have a feeling that this season has been truncated, thanks to episodes that will never be aired.

Glad to know you care more about the show than the fact that the world is undergoing an event like none other in recent history... one which has affected thousands of lives all across the globe.

COVID-19 is serious business. It is not something to be ignored, despite what certain media outlets might try to tell you. Since you seem to care more about a TV show than you do human lives, enjoy 60 days in the can, or until this pandemic finally passes over, whichever comes later.

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

I just checked the program guide on my cable box, and for Kids' Week (April 20-24), Friday, April 24, will be a repeat of last year's college episode (OAD:  4/26/19).
