How appropriate that this episode aired on the 47th anniversary of the current TPIR!

Mina sure did get screwed out of a Jetta by failing to make 0 his final guess in Any Number. Really, that number was begging to be picked.

At least, he redeemed himself in the Showcase.

No, he didn't get screwed out of a Jetta, he screwed himself out of getting a Jetta. The laptop wasn't going to start with a 0 nor was the piggy bank. He has no one but himself to blame. But to his credit, he recovered very nicely in the showcase.

Is this the record partial win in Time is Money?

Also, agree on that awful Any Number playing. How can anyone make such an idiotic mistake?

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

Impressive TIM win. Very nice to see someone get it that quick. He was on the ball!

Any Number... ugh. Ugh, ugh, ugh. Why? Not counting the insanity of picking 8 in that situation, the Jetta strikes again. It seems to me that the Jetta is the staff's "trap" car of choice. It looks more expensive than it is, especially since the base price is only $19k. Add in a few options and it gets to the $20k range pretty quick.

However, that did make me think about what the lowest piggy bank amount ever was, and the lowest one that I found in a quick scouring of the archives was $1.09 on the 1972 premiere.

Seems like the cheapo scooter struck again in the Showcase as well. Otherwise, good show.
I didn't get called down, but the guy next to me did

Yes, that eclipses the $19,438 won on 9/22/2014, which was the debut of the new version of the game.

So now we know why this was delayed. There was, in fact, a trip to the Dominican Republic.

It was so fun to be in the audience for this taping.

I was near Tim's family and helped them and him in moving the shaving cream to $0-2.99 during the second chance in Time is Money. I love that he worked with us to strategize that first move during Drew's explanation before the money "clock" was started. Drew remarked during the commercial about how there's not a rule against doing that but that most contestants don't figure that out.

Also, my voice was unnecessarily lost 2 days after yelling "zero" at Mina...

I love how they plugged the ice cream , no names of the company on the cartons.
I wonder if they didnt have any empty cartons with the Haagen Dazs name on it.

Sorry this is a late response, I had trouble trying to access the site the past few days for some reason.  No excuse for losing the car in Any Number when it was obvious 0 couldn't have started the piggy bank or 3-digit prize.  There are some good and bad notes about the final season stats this year.  On a bad note 4 pricing games(Punch a Bunch, Temptation, 3 Strikes, and Triple Play) went winless; 3 of them(Punch a Bunch being the exception) also went winless last season as well.  On a good note for the 1st time since at least season 28 nobody won only 1 prize in 10 chances.  Every year since at least season 29 through season 46 it happened at least once.  Mind you it was only played 5 times this year but still good to see that unfortunate streak finally come to an end.
