Magic # was begging to be won, that was a total softball setup. I can't remember seeing a range between the two prizes that high before.

The spread of $6122 today did break the record for the largest spread in Magic #'s history ( $6,020 was the old record set in 6/13/16 )

In my opinion, not a bad episode overall. Too bad more was not won in Punch A Bunch, but $10,000 is still pretty bad decent.

I did find it kind of funny that the second showcase was news-themed and they ended it with the Grandeur music used for WCBS news, I think.

I saw they used the "progressive jackpot" thing like they did on Monday's show. Think they might do it all week? If they do plan on doing it all week, I would NOT mind at all if they did this again next season.

Why is everybody so shocked about the Magic # setup?  Their entire MO for the game anymore seems to be, "We could have the prizes be worth $1 and $9,999 on every playing, and one out of three contestants would still find a way to lose."

And frankly, I think they're right.

Just saw this episode for the first time today...

IUFB #1: Robert's bid was $8,436 over the price of the motorcycle (and of course, Megan was $8,435 over.) Not counting any bid made by the idiot who bid $1 million, are those the two largest IUFB overbids in the show's history? I was also surprised and impressed the displays could handle 5 digits.

Magic #: A $6,000 gap between the prizes, but there are still contestants who would've stopped at $1,500 and lost. Thankfully, Jonel played this game well.

Cover Up: Robert made two mistakes: a) Getting the 2nd number right on the first try and b) Choosing the top number of the last column. He's one of the few contestants tall enough to easily reach it and that hurt him.

The displays have been able to show five digit bids ever since they were first digitized in Season 38. I remember shortly into that season, somebody bid $10,000 and to everyone's shock, it actually showed up instead of staying blank.

Then sometime later that same season, there was actually an IUFB that went something like 12000/13000/13001/1. I vividly remember how ridiculous that was.

It's proof of why I shouldn't use acronyms. I meant TPTB, which means The Powers That Be, which is another way of saying producers or the people with the authority over what is given away. If anything, I'm the stupid one for messing up the acronym.
