Man, that Shell Game was painful to watch. To miss out on the last SP and then find the ball under the one unmarked shell...

I agree! I felt bad for that Shell Game contestant! As for Check Game, I personally thought they needed a new range considering that they used quite a few prizes over $6000. Although I expected the new range to be around $9000 to $10,000 (or maybe $8000 to $10,000)!

(or maybe $8000 to $10,000)!
It surprises me that Check has the $1,000 range still when they expanded the range of Grocery not too long ago. I think $1,500 would work. $2,000 seems like a bit much before entering five-digit territory.

Shell Game and Hole in One in the same show!?! I feel like it's a rarity to have one, let alone both in the same show.

Overall, the show was fun especially with John and his sister in Check Game. I also like the decision they made with the Check Game range, since I always believed the issue was the relatively cheap range rather than the size of it.

Great ricochet win in hole in one! Shell game was a painful loss. The last prize was very tricky because it was only $8.00 away from the real price.

Talk about your ups and downs, what with the tough Shell Game loss, and that miracle on Hole in One. That was a shot for the ages! :D

Check Game moved its goalposts further down the field without widening the distance between them -- again.

Truly, a wise decision.
The above is my opinion and mine alone.

To answer your questions: yes, I am a guy and yes, I have a face. (I also have the occasional spurt of weirdness.)

The saga of John’s sister, in 2 minutes: https://twitter.com/priceisright/status/1186761619755302912?

I’m really enjoying that Evelyn and co are open to paying off good, notable characters in an episode with a cameo in the showcase. It feels very “Price”—letting potential story threads evolve naturally and spontaneously for 50 minutes, and then paying them off in the finale if they’re really good.

"It's the greatest challenge in the world to invent a new game. For every one you see, every concept that is ultimately refined and developed, a dozen are worked on and not worked on, or almost worked on, or dropped because they don't read any more. We test and hammer and test and hammer...

When you finally get it down so that it looks very very simple, that one has had the most complicated amount of work."

Quote from: Bill Todman
"The sign of a good game, is when you don't have to explain it every day. The key is not simplicity, but apparent simplicity. Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."

I think it's okay as long as the minimum total is no more than 90% of the maximum. If it goes higher than a $9,000-$10,000 range, then it's time to widen it.

Ouch, very painful losses in Lucky $even and Shell Game to round out the first half. Shell Game especially was rough to watch. The unlikely win in Hole in One made up for these two losses at least a bit though.

Check Game was definitely due for a range increase. It gives a little more wiggle room to offer more expensive prizes and still allow contestants to win a decent amount of cash. I think making the range a $2,000 margin would make the game a bit too easy.

Shell Game was just rough luck!   I felt bad for Nicole.  That last SP was set up for failure.  Nicole, if it will make you feel better, I too failed on that SP.

I think the next Check Game range increase should be:  $8500-$10,000.  A $1500 spread and the contestant knows not to go over $10 grand.

I think when they updated the board with 8000 and 9000 numerals they didn't get spaced out properly on the board.  Are those digits glued onto the board individually?
