Tough luck on Secret X. And terrible selections in Pocket Change. With those picks, even one mistake would've made a loss.

A winning Rent combo:

Attic: Bags ($9.99), total of $9.99

Second Floor: Rice ($1.99), Aspercreme ($7.66), total of $9.65

First Floor: Juice ($1.49), Breath Strips ($6.99), total of $7.48

Mailbox: Applesauce, ($3.49), total of $3.49
CSS: Exacta, 6/3/2019
Lifetime earnings: $1,896,732
Season 18 cash earnings: $629,243
Season 19 cash earnings: $490,110
FPG: 2019-2020 Finals Champion

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

Why did Fernando listen to *redacted*? He had it right the first time, and I was already bracing for the losing horns when he pushed the blocks to $4k.

And poor Marla wishes she'd put the third X on the top row. I was pretty sure that the secret X would be in the middle, but the top location proved me wrong.

I see someone already figured out today's winning combination on Pay the Rent, and I really can't think of another.

We probably shouldn't be calling the audience names.

Why did Fernando listen to that dumb audience?

Teddy, don't call the audience dumb.

Today’s playing illustrated one reason I don’t like Secret X. All the pricing was done perfectly, and the game was still lost. Interesting how in other small prize games, such as Bonus, Shell, 1/2 Off (nowadays), and even Punch, perfect pricing guarantees a win of something besides the small prizes.

Pushover: bad. Just bad.

Pay the Rent: That's exactly how I'd play the game--go for $10,000 and be happy with that. Here are the two winning combos:

Bags ($9.99)
Aspercreme ($7.66), Rice ($1.99) = $9.65
Breath Strips ($6.49), Juice ($1.49) = $7.98
Applesauce ($3.99)

Bags ($9.99)
Aspercreme ($7.66), Juice ($1.49) = $9.15
Breath Strips ($6.49), Rice ($1.99) = $8.48
Applesauce ($3.99)

Not a lot of wiggle room there.

Money Game: Nice win! It was weird how she used her first pick to find the last two digits, but when it was wrong, she started looking for the first two digits.

Secret X: Ouch, though there was really no reason to go for the bottom there, given how much more frequently the X is at the top than the bottom for non-car prizes.

Most Expensive: Easy enough.

Pocket Change: If you're going to lose, lose big, right? I wonder if that's the biggest difference there ever was between the change earned by the contestant and the final price of the car.

Pay the Rent was VERY tough.  I did not expect the trash bags to be on the attic level.

Push Over: Thanks a lot audience!!!!  You all owe Fernando that suite of electronics!  I had it pegged between the $5,000 and $6,000 prices.

Secret X was just tough luck.  Given the last playing where they put the X on the bottom during Big Money Week, I thought Maria was trying to foil another X on the bottom trick.  And it was a $12,000 trip too so it has happened before where an expensive trip in Secret X had the X in the Shadoe Stevens position.  But very infrequent.
The second SP was trouble right there.  I failed on that one.
