The earliest Cullen ep I've seen is a daytime show from February 21, 1957. GSN aired it and it's on the DVD set. A Barker episode from 1982 came in from a commercial with Bob talking with an audience member who asked if Bill Cullen hosted the original Price and Bob verified it. (Bill was hosting Child's Play at the time which preceded Price on CBS.)

Was that the same episode that Bill appeared on to promote it? Or was that later? I always thought Bob never acknowledged him as host on that episode, would be glad if that was wrong as always felt he shoulda.

Just got around to watching the whole episode.  A+.   They really did go all out with the set and theme.  I especially liked the 50s-style diner booth at home base.  Really well-done.

My thoughts:
- Cute special but it didn't feel like a Halloween show
- Now we know what inspired the new Side by Side set
- What the heck was the purpose of having the guy from B&B on?  He made no impression whatsoever and had nothing to do with the theme.  No one knew who he was. He was just there. I don't even think he knows why he was there.   Were both James and Devin not available?

I would imagine the same reason Melissa Ordway and Courtney Hope have been on -- they've got two Barker's Beauties on maternity leave, so they're going to have substitutes once in a while.

I do find it weird that they'd schedule a sub for the Halloween show, but not head-scratchingly weird.

The Halloween special was really good.  I liked the 50s theme.  It was an enjoyable show.

I'm going to disagree.  I really liked Matthew as a temp model.  I thought he did a better job than Courtney and I wouldn't mind seeing more of him if my favorite James or my second favorite Devin are unavailable for tapings.

Grocery Game - Dear lord, what a terrible way to lose. Could he not tell the difference between a $1.50 bag of chips from a gas station and a $4 one from the supermarket?

Side by Side - Why is everybody saying this was an unwinnable setup? It's a 900 cc engine, for God's sake... Am I literally the only one in here that would have gotten that correct?

Once again, props to the art department for the wonderful setup, but shame on Courtney for not getting that BEAUTIFUL Bel Air.

If you ask somebody, "Is the price of this item $X,X99 or $9,9XX?", 99% of people would say the one with the -99 ending. It's very deceptive.
