(TPIR Theme 2007)

Welcome back, everybody! It's time to see who won their Showcase. Clara26, I'm going to start with you. You had trips to New York and Monte Carlo, and a Cadillac CT6. You bid $73,400, and the actual retail price is: $80,642, for a difference of...

...$7,242, and that's a pretty darn good bid for sure. (applause) Now Cool Steve, you had the game room, a trip to Chicago and a Lexus RX350 SUV. Your bid was $51,333; actual retail price: $62,483, for a difference of...

DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING!

(cheers and applause)

Clara26 has won $94,898 in cash and prizes, and so ends a great show in the history of The Price is Right. Teddy here, reminding you to help control the pet population, and have your pets spayed or neutered, because it's the right thing to do. Thanks for watching, and we'll see you next time. Goodbye, everybody!

(end credits roll)

GEORGE: This is George Gray speaking for The Price is Right, a Fremantle production!

It sure was fun to replicate one of the Drew Carey special weeks in one show. Since the script for this episode was created before the real show instituted a "rolling jackpot" format this season, I will definitely do a Big Money Special based on that new format. I think it should be even more fun than what I just did.

We did set some new records with this show: $440,000 given away in cash alone (out of a possible $2.31 million on offer), a total of $586,464 in cash and prizes won, the biggest daytime winner ever (Cool Steve with $220,000-plus) and the two most expensive IUFBs ever (a Chevy Sonic and Mazda3). And the Cadillac Showcase win was the icing on the cake.

The final tally is as follows:

Cool Steve ($225,714)
JayC ($173,417)
Clara26 ($94,898)
GameShowFan9001 ($75,110)
wpghi5 ($11,127)
pathfinder20 ($6,198)

As for the TPG:

tpir04: Pay the Rent/Now or Then/Grocery Game/Joker/Punch-a-Bunch/Give or Keep
geniusinmath: Bonus Game/Bullseye/Check Out/The Phone Home Game/SuperBall/Joker
PatrickRox80: Let em Roll/Penny Ante/Pick-a-Pair/Punch-a-Bunch/Cliff Hangers/Spelling Bee
wpghi5: Pay The Rent/Let em Roll/Now... or Then/Give Or Keep/Punch-a-Bunch/Hit Me
JayC: Pay the Rent/Superball/Grocery Game/Punch a Bunch/Phone Home Game/Cliff Hangers
GameShowFan9001: Let 'em Roll/Spelling Bee/Pick a Pair/Bonus Game/Pay the Rent/SuperBall
Cool Steve: Pay The Rent/Bonus Game/Spelling Bee/Grocery Game/1/2 Off/Cliff Hangers
pathfinder20: Check Out/Cliffhangers/Let ‘er Roll/Super Ball/Hole in one/Hit me
Clara26: Pay The Rent/1/2 Off/Let Em Roll/Punch A Bunch/Rat Race/Spelling Bee
123123123: Bonus Game/Bullseye/Check-Out/Cliff Hangers/1/2 Off/Hi Lo

We actually have two winners: JayC and Clara26 for getting three right each. As a result, they will get First Four passes if they sign up for Episode 28.

The floor is now open for your comments...

And one more thing...

I'm used to figuring out winning solutions for Pay the Rent whenever it is played on the show, so shortly after it was played here, I asked my fellow members to PM me their responses with their own solutions, and I'd like to share them with you right now:

Here it is by price:

$7.99
$5.44 + $1.99 = $7.43
$3.99 + $2.69 = $6.68
$6.49

$7.99 = $7.99 (Cleanser)
$7.43 = $1.99 (Corn) + $5.44 (Relief Stick)

$6.68 = $3.99 (Candy) + $2.69 (Iced Tea)
$6.49
= $6.49 (Taquitos)

I guess I should try to create setups that will allow for more than one correct solution, because I just realized that no one was going to win the $100,000 with what I had there.
