-That Triple Play wipeout was quite unnecessary, especially with those choices.
-Vend was royally evil. It wasn't just Ashley that was fooled, I was as well. That tuna was a good imposter, IMO.
-If Michael had guessed low, there's a chance he would've won, since the general instinct is to choose 5 as the last number.

On the other hand, I'm glad Severiano won Bonus Game. Those first three SPs were tough, but he managed to earn the last window, and that's all that was needed.

One more thing: The Aussie banter. It's fine every now and then, but today it seemed like they milked it for all it's worth. That conversation between Drew, James and Daniel during the fourth IUFB just sorta stopped the show cold. Looked to me like they desperately needed to kill time, but didn't know quite how to do it.

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

I knew it was $16k on the Yaris. There are very few things I hate more than a Triple Play loss on the first car.

As soon as I saw the tuna total, I knew Ashley didn't have a chance to win.

Severiano ought to thank his lucky stars that the last SP, the only one he got right, had the bonus.

So there were two Australian guys modeling on the same show? Cool!

Triple Play: the correct choice was pretty obvious and it sucked that she didn't pick it. But man, a couple of people in chat acted like it was the total end of the world! Yes, her husband was fingering the correct choice, but it's entirely possible she couldn't see him, she just got nervous, or she really thought the Yaris was that cheap.

CoG: Easy, and in fact trivial if you know about the $5,000 prize floor.

Vend: Evil.

Double Cross: Again, easy. The end choices are rarely correct in this game and it certainly wasn't going to be a $9,000 billiards table.

Lucky 7: Good for Michael for going for that 7! He wasn't going to win by picking 5s. Too bad the number was a 2, but that's the way to play the game.

Bonus Game: This game was set up by the producers to be won exactly how it was. The first three SPs were hard, if not a bit evil, and the last one was easy.

Am I the only one who thinks they set the show up around Triple Play being won? That explains the budget-mode feel of the show, especially Vend and Bonus, and the endless (and largely overkill) Australia banter. But, that's just my $0.02.

The only cars that a 13k pick would be sensible for would be a Mitsubishi Mirage or a Chevy Spark, which start around $14k, but I think the show always offers them in configurations that are above 15k whenever they play a game where the price matters.

What the hell was Vend, other than pure evil?

I think the Australia banter was a huge consequence of Triple Play being lost right off the bat. They allotted several minutes to TP, and it ended up being lost in something like two minutes, at the most.

Aside from it being blink-and-you-miss-it it was refreshing to see Triple Play in first slot. It always feels awkward when they place it third.

Bonus Game: This game was set up by the producers to be won exactly how it was. The first three SPs were hard, if not a bit evil, and the last one was easy.
The reveal of the “Bonus” was absolutely horrible today. (I refuse to add the unnecessary “!”) Not only did Drew point to the bottom window and then get closer to it, but the camera started to zoom into it before the word was shown!! And given the already mentioned easy setup... :-x

I’ve stated before that Bonus used to be one of my favorite games. With the classic turntable shot and the old incandescent bulbs long gone, and with gameplay rules no longer explained before the bonus prize is displayed, I removed it from that list. I still like the game essentially however, and I’m glad it’s still being played.

Vend O Price I would have won.  I picked the snack.
It was really cool seeing Bonus Game won with only one window correct.  That was an exciting win.
Epic fail in Triple Play.  I knew $16k was the right pick.

James is my favorite model and I liked Daniel Goddard when he was on in the past.  It was good seeing him again.  It was a pretty good show.  I liked all the Australian references and banter.  It was a fun watch.

Agreed. The camera was already zooming in on the bottom window before the reveal started. If the bonus had been in the top window would the show have had to reshoot the reveal because it would have been off camera? Did the camera operator already know from rehearsal that the bonus was in the bottom window?

I doubt the camera operator knew it, but I suspect the director did and told the camera operator to zoom in on the bottom window too early.
