I noticed in the closing credits a reference to Hurricane Dorian hitting the Bahamas. I assume that, had the episode not been pre-empted for coverage of that hearing, it would have aired as scheduled, which makes me wonder if there's some sort of "window" between when a natural disaster like that happens and trips to that location can be mentioned without having to be moved.

A friend of mine, Stephen, went to this taping, and while he didn't get called to come on down, he did get quite a bit of air time during Cover Up. He's the guy who was shown multiple times fingering numbers to Rachael during that game. He and Rachael are both from Boston, but they didn't know each other before the taping and it was a coincidence they ended up seated next to each other. Stephen had gone with his wife to an earlier taping but she wanted to shop at The Grove so she did that while he went to another taping. I know he was a regular reader of my strategy blog as we talked about it a couple of times, and I'm reasonably certain that's why Rachael got the second number wrong on purpose on her first try; it's unfortunate she wasn't able to win the car and the trip to the Bahamas.

Today's Cover Up playing used the Push Over cue, and also had the 48 Years banner running across all five spots at the beginning.

They likely handle it on a case by case basis. It would have looked horrible right after the hurricane to have all those balloons and celebration with the islands so recently devestated.

There was an episode of Wheel of Fortune that aired last month (taped in July, before Dorian) where someone won a trip to the Bahamas but there was no clarification.

I remember an episode from October 2017 where someone won a trip to Puerto Rico (which was hit by Hurricanes Irma and Maria one month prior), and there was an explanatory caption on the screen.
