It's In the Bag: I realize this was the contestant's decision, but speaking only for me, the difference between taking $8,000 and being able to pay bills, pay off a car loan or go on a vacation and risking leaving with nothing on a hunch that you may be right or wrong is too great. I would have walked.

Great win in Switcheroo. A good choice to quit when he had better than half of the numbers right. Even if he never had the car, it's still a lot to risk ... switching the wrong two and then ending up with just one gift that isn't the car.

And, too boot: What a Showcase Showdown. I was thinking for a second we'd have two big winners again after their third spinoff – this before they had their third spinoff – and it'd have to go to a fourth spinoff. But wow – two $1,000 winners, and one of them wins $25,000.

A contestant should know that the first number is rarely anything other than 1 or 2.

Perhaps today's contestant tried the patented Cover Up strategy to unfortunate results.

Of course it's easier to badmouth the contestants.

It's In the Bag: Ouch, Anthony. One of my favorite sayings when it comes to money is "pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered," and you got slaughtered. But you made up for it on the wheel and I *loved* your -258 ending on your showcase. Are you a member here?

Cover Up: I want to know where Neisha goes car shopping. Ouch. Unless she was trying the "get the first two numbers wrong on purpose to have two free tries" strategy, in which case this was a model playing for why NOT to try that strategy. The correct strategy is to get the first one right and second one wrong on the first guess.

Switcheroo: Way to go, James! That is how you play Switcheroo--place the 4 SP blocks first, then whatever's left over goes to the car.

While Anthony may not have won the $16,000 in It's in the Bag, his $26,000 win more than made up for it, so he'll have the perfect wedding after all.

It's been a while since the last time we had a wipeout in Cover Up, but that Switcheroo win was simply amazing!

It's just common sense that cars that aren't in a rarely played game like 3 strikes or given away during car week begin with a 1 or 2.

And if I were playing Cover Up, I'd intentionally screw up the first number to guarantee 3 shots at the board. However, it's not me on stage and people don't know the strategy. Don't badmouth contestants.

I would have bailed in both Baggy and Roo today.

I would have seen the last bag as a 50/50 proposition and would've taken the $8000 and run.

As for Roo, I would usually bail with 3 right. The odds are in your favor and the tens digit is a very random digit in the price of a car so I'd take my chances on the odds with 3 right.

Proper Cover Up strategy would include getting the 1st number right. It's the 2nd you should BS if you're playing that strategy. Always get the 1st number right so you are sure to have at least 1 number right.
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

It's a dumb strategy to follow. And it's called criticism. If you can't handle criticism, then please don't troll about it.

Not sure if Neisha got nervous, too clever, or both.  Brilliant playing in Switcheroo.  Not sure if it was intentional or not, but James made it look like he was considering the prices of the SPs instead of just randomly placing numbers which so many people seem to do

It's more like bad luck on Neisha since the 2nd number could've been 7 or 8. She took a chance on intentionally putting the 3 on the first number and unfortunately didn't work.

It's a dumb strategy to follow. And it's called criticism. If you can't handle criticism, then please don't troll about it.

How though? The purpose is to get at least one number right to continue playing the game. That's not dumb at all.

It's a dumb strategy to follow.

Jumping on the bandwagon, https://stoseontpir.blogspot.com/2019/07/the-ultimate-price-is-right-strategy_12.html, read this post to see why factually, calling the strategy "dumb" is absurd.

Also, gamesurf and bigblue999 encapsulated my exact response to that entire post.

This episode had some nastier setups (Extremely overpriced pasta sauce and overpriced utensils, the home office computer easily being deceptive for a pricier Mac, a cheaper-looking grill where you were doomed if you didn't know about the 1-2-3 guideline or that Coach aren't that expensive, the cheapest digit being right in Roo). To be completely honest, it looked like the producers only wanted Range to be won so that we didn't have a 0/6 episode and there was potential for the trip to be forfeited. Good thing we had a well-played Roo to end the episode, and producers meddling couldn't stop the double-double spinoff.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

-Drew Carey, interview with Athletic, September 16, 2020

"I honestly thought the doubler was gone, but 9821 going $0 makes sense"
