David Lander, best known for playing Squiggy on the ABC sitcom “Laverne & Shirley”, passed away Friday evening after a 37 year battle with multiple sclerosis.
Give a listen to the Credibility Gap's version of "Who's On First" to hear Lander at his best. It's on the album "The Bronze Age of Radio."

He was also the voice of Jerry Lewis in the 1970 cartoon Will The Real Jerry Lewis Please Sit Down?

He also famously portrayed Zeus in the Hulk Hogan led film No Holds Barred in 1989, which was used to set up a brief WWF stint in tandem with the movie, the most notable part of which saw him tag with Randy Savage against Hulk Hogan and Brutus the Barber Beefcake in the main event of that year's SummerSlam. He briefly reprised his rivalry with Hulk under the name Z-Gangsta in WCW 7 years later as well.

One of the best country singers of all time, Charley Pride, has passed at the age of 86 due to COVID-19. I grew up listening to his music with my grandparents. He will definitely be missed.

During this site's downtime we've had numerous passings, in particular Dawn Wells who played Mary Ann on Gilligan's Island. Age 82 of COVID-19.

On this note, there were two huge pro wrestling deaths at the end of 2020, announced on the same day no less, December 26th. First Danny Hodge passed away at 88 on Christmas Eve, then more shockingly AEW star Brodie Lee, formerly known as Luke Harper of the Wyatt Family in WWE, died of a non Covid lung issue at 41 on the 26th proper.
