In Kyle's defense, I was at the taping and he was trying to get advice from me and my his mother who was sitting on the other side of the studio.

Were you the second person who was trying to give his bid to Kyle?

Not sure if Dice Game was rotten luck or a mean setup.  Donna played the odds, but I feel that if you pinned the second digit as a 2 or 1 (as I think most people would do), you'd be driven to think the third digit would be on the higher side, even if you rolled 5 and it wasn't the correct digit.

Brilliant Grocery Game, and Spelling Bee was ulcer-inducing.

I was trying to get Kyle to say $26,500.  And there was a 15 minute stopdown in Dice Game.

Was he trying to get advise from HIS mother or YOUR mother. I'm just confused because you said "my his mother" So whose mother was it?

I was surprised they left that in there. That's the kind of thing they usually edit out.

And there was a 15 minute stopdown in Dice Game.

Why?

nam said on Discord that the second 1 wouldn't light up forever. Seemed like a messy day at the studio.
S4x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Let me start from the beginning.  My friend Terry and I were in the audience for this episode.  It was the 3rd taping of the day on October 16th. We were the last people to enter the studio.  Kyle and her aunt Fifi were the last 2 in the original line.  Anyways, people actually thought that I was crazy with the $2K bid on the 1st IUFB.  But then everybody started to look at me like, wow.  I just saw the Prada in Beverly Hills a couple days previously.  Poor Donna had rare bad luck though.  The 2nd 1 did not light up.  They stopped tape, lowered the Race Game curtain and fixed the problem.  15 minutes and many jokes later what you saw was the number lighting up immediately.  I actually started a chant to give her the car.  Then George tells us, this is the Price Is Right, not Almost Right.

About Kyle.  I tried to help him.  We both got fooled by the exercise equipment.  Look back on the December 20th show.  It was $2K then, but only $800 on today's show.  And Kyle was looking at 2 groups of people: His mother & aunts and then myself, his aunt Fifi from Miami, and my friend Terry. He was also nervous as heck.  I almost tripped him coming down to contestant's row.  Spelling Bee was hard because I could not remember the prices of the SPs.  When I came down to taking $3K or go for the car, I told Kyle to go for it because of the odds.  But because he had just moved to Los Angeles (he is a writer), $3000 was more useful and he had just paid off his car.

The showcase.  I was trying to do hand signals and tell Kyle to bid $26,500.  I did not want to get cute with my usual ending during CSS.  10 minutes went by.  It was extremely loud, he couldn't hear anybody, not even Drew who was standing next to him.  Kyle settled on $21K because his mother and aunts thought that Donna had gone over.  So, Aunt Fifi and I run behind and get onto the middle part of the stage.  I did not stop with the hand signals and did not stop with the bids.  Anyways, it was a blast.  Yes, Kyle struggled, but he did take a lot of prizes home.

Well, since Kyle already had a car, I think it was a wise decision to take the $3,000, even if he could've won a second one with the three cards showing.
