Great bid by Erik, against an ARP of  $27,993. My personal assessment was $28,000 even. Ouch.

JMO: Showcases that usually end with $90-99 as the final digits can easily end up :WSD:

Squeeze Play-Great win to start off the week!
1/2 Off-Tough loss for Erik, but at least he redeemed himself by winning his showcase. I had initially chosen box 8, but switched to 11 at the last minute.
Cover Up-Zenora and I both lost, my guess was $19,567.
Bullseye-I had the feeling that Stephanie had won, because I've seen those boxes of fish sticks in stores for at least $5.00.
Gridlock!-I had 25 for the last two numbers. Also, I feel that it would be better if they swapped the order of the sound effects in
this game, or drop the standard bell and buzzer and just go with the brakes and engine rev by themselves.
Double Prices-As soon as I saw $7,998 as one of the choices, I knew it had to be right.

I guess things are back to normal now, after all those guest models that we saw in the first half of the season. Welcome back, Manuela! (and I have a feeling that Amber's not too far behind; it's a miracle that she's still alive!)

I wouldn't be opposed to eliminating the bell and buzzer in Gridlock and make it more akin to Pathfinder, where you either get the clanging bells or "eroo" just by stepping on numbers. But I'd take it one step further and use either the winning bells after the rev for a win, or the buzzer and losing horns after the brakes for a loss.

Wow, Erik was much closer than I thought he would be! Great bid in the Showcase round.

Double Prices-As soon as I saw $7,998 as one of the choices, I knew it had to be right.

Ditto here; anytime the prize is a pair of scooters, dirt bikes, motor bikes, mopeds, or other 2-wheeled vehicle, the [total] price will typically end in -98 (because the price for one of them typically ends in 49 or 99).  I was yelling “pick whatever ends in 98” before the game was even revealed! 😆

If you remember this then you’re a shoe-in most of the time when these come up, unless the object of the game doesn’t involve the price of the prize(s).  Alas, many, like this contestant, don’t seem to be aware of the “98 rule”.  :-(
