Hopefully, the Red Sox will soon follow.

Maybe the Astros could vacate their World Series win from 2017...

I know this happens a lot in college sports (think Louisville basketball in 2013), but has it ever been done in the pros?

Tainted as it is now, they’re not going to strip the Astros of their title. They’ve already lost their manager and their general manager, had their first two draft picks of 2020 and 2021 revoked and got hit with the highest fine MLB can give them.

Also, the concept of vacating wins as a punishment is stupid. Tainted as they are, the fact of the matter is those wins still happened, and you can't just rewrite history because it doesn't fit your ideals.

Alex Cora has been fired as Red Sox manager for his role in the Astros cheating scandal.

College sports does it all the time, though doesn't make it any less stupid.

Sign stealing has been part of baseball ever since baseball existed and a known part of baseball at that. I really don't understand why we're all of a sudden making a big deal of it in the late 2010s/early 2020s when it's been known for decades that sign stealing is a part of baseball.
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers.

Yeah I don't either. I find it stupid. People/teams/players WILL always look for edges any way they can find them.....that's not news, been a thing since the dawn of time pretty much.

Unauthorized use of recording equipment is the real issue.

Another domino falls. Carlos Beltran, who became manager of the Mets only two months ago, has stepped down due to his involvement in the scandal.

At this rate, they might as well ban all the Astros players for their involvement.

And now Tony La Russa's being accused of using video equipment to steal signs while manager of the White Sox in the 80s.

Yeesh, they really opened up a can of worms with this.

Well, despite the Dodgers' attempts to claim the two World Series titles they lost, the 2017 Astros and 2018 Red Sox will keep their respective titles. So no vacating is done, just like the NFL is letting the Patriots keep all six of their Super Bowl championships, even though they've been known to cheat throughout the years.
