When "Justin Turner" is getting more hits on Google then "Justin Bieber", you know something's wrong.

Something is wrong, I'll give you that.  But if this were 2010 and not 2020, I would have no words

I'm surprised that Justin Bieber is still relevant. From teenage girls' wet dream to celebrity train wreck.

Rest of post redacted at the request of the OP due to being in the wrong thread. -PTR

2020 had the worst World Series ratings in history.

https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/30213670/los-angeles-dodgers-tampa-bay-rays-world-series-tv-ratings-average-drops-32-previous-low

I sorta figured that before the series started.  It's a down year for sports (NBA Finals were at an all time low as well).  We'll see how the NFL will get hit.  It'll probably best the M.A.S.H record (that hasn't been since 2010) for the 12th consecutive year, or not.  If so it won't be by much, but that might upset some of the higher-ups.  However, it's doing okay based on who's involved, and by February things may be on a better track toward a positive direction.

Speaking of involvement, it didn't help that Tampa was involved in the World Series. L.A. is a bigger market, but unless the Lakers are involved (or if it's the Y2K decade where USC was a powerhouse), sports aren't too big of a deal, IMO.  Not to disrespect the Rays, but the interest is just not there.

As for Justin Turner, whatever.  A handful have put the blame on either Justin alone or MLB.  I think it's a combination of both.  Nothing yet in terms of an aftermath, but if there happens to be another outbreak due to what happened with Turner before he was pulled and when he apparently returned, I wonder if we'll hear about it or if it will get covered up until next winter/spring, if at all
