Tampa Bay is up 2 games to 0 in the ALCS; Atlanta draws first blood in the NLCS.

Tampa the new Title Town?  Upon seeing that elsewhere, I'd be neutral over that concept, but things are looking good for the Rays.  Atlanta has been very dominant this postseason, so I don't think I would've been concerned with Kershaw playing.  Don't think it's over for LA if they lose Game 2, but it depends of tonight & tomorrow's games (even if they won on Wednesday)

Atlanta almost chokes in Game 2, but they hang on to preserve a 2-0 series lead.

I honestly thought that the Dodgers were going to tie it in that 9th inning. I don't have a dog in this fight but I had flashbacks to game 4 of the 1996 World Series and Jim Leyritz for a minute there. Tonight, the Braves held on by the hair of their chinny chin chin.
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

The Rays are one game away from their second pennant.

I can only hope the Braves don't pull a 1996 World Series. Up two games to zero against the Yankees, they lost the next four.

I wouldn't mind seeing that, personally.  Unless the Rays pull a Yankees 2004 ALCS performance.

Whomever comes out victorious from the League Championship Games will have a shot at winning the fall classic.  No big favorites, I don't think.  I'd bet for the ALCS winner; that series has been more competitive I think than the NLCS

I really hope not, I still remember that collapse. One of many that somehow conspired to have one of the most dominant franchises of an era only get one World Series.

Leave the chokes to the Falcons, please.

Dodgers put up 11 runs in the top of the first against the Braves, topping the Cardinals 10 run first inning last year against the Braves.

The Dodgers go on to win, 15-3. Meanwhile Houston still has a pulse in the ALCS.

That game took forever. According to my TV guide, the game should have been over at 11:00, not 12:05 which is when the news finally started on my Fox affiliate. Shouldn't Fox be giving more than three hours for the games this late in the season to avoid preemptions of late night programming and such?

Our Fox affiliate runs the two celebrity train wreck shows Extra and TMZ after the news followed by a repeat of the news. If the game were to, say, go extra innings and bump those two shows to later hours (or bump them from airing altogether), the fans of those shows will just have to get over it. As George Carlin once told us, "Baseball has no time limit. You don't know when it's gonna end!"

The NLCS game can't start soon enough. The Rays are choking away a 3-0 lead.

And there will be a game 7.

The 2004 Yankees may have company by tomorrow.
