Okay, yeah, that would be a day one purchase.

“Lights up and makes authentic Plinko sounds!”—okay, this has my curiosity.

I enjoyed the electronic game from about 10 years ago with the little plastic Big Wheel but this does look like an improvement.

Even though the big focus is obviously on Plinko, apparently other pricing games are semi-included; Hi-Lo and Pick A Number minigames are shown on those little cards.

"The sign of a good game, is when you don't have to explain it every day. The key is not simplicity, but apparent simplicity. Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."

I think game show author Adam Nedeff had posted something about this on Facebook earlier today.

Homeboy Ryan never even got to keep the money, and now he gets to see this product in his own Target with his own face on it. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

I mean, the product looks like cheap garbage, but whatever.

It does? Huh? I think it looks very well made.

Does anyone else remember that one Showcase skit from the mid-2000's where the models were playing with a mini Plinko board at the end? I remember wanting one of those so bad. It was smaller than this one, but it was an exact replica with the fully-rounded side parts and everything.

I hope they fix the amount fonts at the bottom. They're accurate with the show on the box and on the background sign, with the smaller "1" serifs and the lines on the zeroes, but the actual unit on display is just basic Eurostyle font.

Ineligible contestant. Something about him missing the cutoff by two days (he used to work for the local CBS affiliate). While he hadn't worked there for the correct amount of time, the date of his most recent paystub prevented him from getting the cash.

Ooo, I missed that somehow.  The jackass who broke the winnings record was seriously ineligible?

I know something like that shouldn't make my day, but that makes my day.

In hindsight I should have had the crowd chanting my name and ran around the studio screaming my head off like him. Then I could be a G-R favorite too!  :P

Was Ryan a bit obnoxious? Yes. But he had genuine energy and didn't come off as fake unlike most contestants who scream their lungs out and start doing dumb dances.

Anyway the Plinko board game looks good. Hope it sells well.

"Being genuine" is not a good thing if you are genuinely an obnoxious dumbass.

Sorry if this isn't an acceptable bump, but there is a post on Instagram showing that some Targets already have this game in stock.

Relevant update.  I read an article about its release earlier today.  Looks cool enough — certainly a step up from the last home version of the game, although still not quite perfected to my full liking.  Even still, I might have to pick one up for myself.
Pardon my language, but I do believe we all need to calm the f*** down.
