Showcase Rounds In Which The Players Shared Names
« on: February 27, 2020, 08:59:52 PM »
In The Price is Right's long history (the current version, at least) - has there EVER been a Showcase round where both contestants had the same first name? Or even the same FULL name? :D

I've been thinking about this just now. XD

I have no idea on your question but it does seem like the number of shows where multiple contestants in the same show with the same name has decreased significantly from Bob’s hosting days. I can remember shows where Bob make light of the fact that there are two people with the same name in contestant’s row. It doesn’t seem to happen at all these days.

No joke: When I was a kid I saw an episode from around 1980 in which the first four contestants were all women named Barbara!
"Audience, if you're scared buy a dog!"

Bryan, the Punchboard player who gave up $5,000 for a chance at $10,000 and won

I vaguely remember an episode not too long ago where every contestant was named, "Pat".

That was our 2010 (Season 38) April Fools' Day episode.
Rich Fields had fun announcing that one.  :-)

The show that was long thought to be the first playing of Five Price Tags had both showcase contestants named Judy.

I know I saw it happen, circa 1996. If I remember right, both contestants were named Vanessa.
