So a couple notes:

1) This is the last show for this week. There are three reruns the next three days, including my 29th birthday tomorrow.

2) Starting Monday is Mashup Week on The Price is Right. I did not do the last one (S44) so templates do not exist. Recaps may be delayed as templates are made to fit my recap.

3) This show was wiped out in Mountain Daylight Time, pre-empted from NOT to the end in Eastern/Central Daylight Time and pre-empted for the first 2 acts in Pacific Daylight Time. Apologies for the delay in recap.

See you guys Monday.

The show was also mostly pre-empted on WCBS in New York because of a press conference from the governor. We didn't get Price until SCSD1, and then CBS nationally cut in from the White House while the prizes were being described for PG6.

The Mountain Time Zone is rather inconsistent as to when TPiR airs--here in Utah, it doesn't air until 11 MDT, so we only had the first two PGs cut off. Thoughts on everything else:

Hot Seat: I thought Dani'l wasn't even going to make it through the products in 35 seconds at the rate she was going--turns out she had a good system going with someone in the audience to get help and get her selections done in the 35 seconds. And it sure worked, as $10,000 is nothing to shake a stick at!

Lucky $even: I thought Kimberly was hosed when she guessed the 5 at the fourth digit, and I think Drew did too, as he didn't seem thrilled at that pick. But a nice comeback on the last digit!

By the way, I'm starting to notice a pattern in this game: when the first digit is a 1, the digits seem to go 1HHLH, where H means a "high" digit, meaning between 7-9 (inclusive), and L means a "low" digit, meaning between 1-3 (inclusive.) So a price like $18,729 seems to be more common than $18,271. I haven't checked the actual data, that's just my intuition right now.

SC 2: How was a private jet to Vegas and a private estate in South Africa only $22,000?

SC 2: How was a private jet to Vegas and a private estate in South Africa only $22,000?
I took out the $3,750 Cartier watch, and the two trips combined actually total $19,133.  Here's the showcase breakdown:

Showcase #1:
  • Kitchen Appliances:  $5,296
  • Fiat 124 Spider Classica:  $26,685

Showcase #2:
  • Cartier Ronde Solo 42mm Blue Dial Automatic Men's Watch WSRN0023:  $3,750 (source)
  • Trip to Las Vegas:  $8,065
    • Round trip private jet from Los Angeles to Las Vegas:  It's $4,626 on the show, but the lowest price on websites I've run into, like this one, is $8,500.
    • 3 night stay in a luxury one-bedroom suite at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino:  $3,177, including taxes and fees
    • Resort credit:  $150
    • Two tickets to a cabaret show:  $112
  • Trip to South Africa:  $11,068 (taken from the episode that aired January 9, 2020)

Thanks for the recap, I was wondering what that sixth game was.

They wanted Lucky $even lost so badly, didn't they? I love when wins happen like that.
