Car Pong: Not my first choice for a crossover game. This game is rarely won on LMaD, even with the full 20 seconds, and just didn't fit here.

Side by Side: That was a total trap by the producers. Good for Ryan for sticking with his gut and winning!

SC2: That was awkward with Wayne describing the context and George giving the descriptions. It also felt like it wasn't very well rehearsed (e.g. when Wayne said something like "Oh yeah, George, you have something to add, don't you?") I wonder if it would've worked better had Jonathan taken over announcing for that showcase like he did during Car Pong. Also, it's clear Rita either has never looked at the price of Teslas or hadn't done so in a long time. Youch.

Mash-Up week is finally here, but today's show wasn't really the best way to start the week.

It seemed as if Pushover was the only game set up to be won and absolutely nothing else, the other two quickie wins were pretty tricky. Even in Car Pong, it felt like they were scared to give a contestant those 5 extra seconds with that tiny charger that even tripped me up. Probably wouldn't have made a difference, but still.

The second showdown was kinda cool with the rare failed bonus respin and the Tesla was nice, but nothing too memorable. Hopefully we can get it rolling tomorrow.

That must be the cheapest prize in Side by Side, or any one-prize game, in a while since they now have a $5,000 minimum. Good job not falling for the -50 ending that 90% of contestants would choose just because it looks nice.

That was the cheapest prize in Side by Side since 12/12/14, when a dining room was also $5,076. The last time a strictly cheaper prize was used in that game was 10/26/10, when a trip to Cozumel cost $4,235.

I know this site prides itself on covering Television's longest running game show, but for Mash Up week, there should be a point to cover LMAD as well just for the week.  While we had a failed playing of Car Pong on Price, we had a failed playing of Plinko on LMAD (although $10,600) is nothing to sneeze at.  Just thought I'd bring it up.  I wonder what both shows will bring tomorrow.

Well the situation in the second Showcase Showdown was certainly interesting: Jeremiah hit the nickel and won $10,000 on the bonus spin, and then Ryan's first spin didn't go all the way around and was allowed to spin again for the sake of the spin-off but not allowed to win bonus money. Jeremiah would've only been able to get in the Showcase if Ryan hit the nickel also and then Jeremiah got a higher number on the second spin-off.

There was a case in season 31 where a player was disqualified completely in a bonus spin-off for not getting the wheel all the way around and that got a lot of flack for being the incorrect decision, but my question is -- if the first player hits one of the green sections and then the second spinner doesn't get the wheel all the way around, should the second spinner in this case not be allowed a spin for the spin-off and the first spinner declared the winner? I feel like in the case of the first spinner getting the bonus they should be declared winner if this happens, though the bonus money is a nice consolation prize.

Flak from whom - from us? That could have been because, in at least one earlier episode when that happened, Bob did allow a re-spin for a spinoff number, but without a chance to win additional money.

And I am a little surprised that this is the first episode with the Covid-19 mention in the end credits. (Something like, "Trips to locations affected by Covid-19 may be replaced with alternate arrangements" - er, isn't that everywhere now?)

Pretty good episode. I did not expect the camera package in Swap Meet to be that cheap or the kitchen appliances to be that cheap in Side By Side either.

And they’ve had that disclaimer on the equivalent of probably at least two weeks’ worth of shows now.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

This is absolutely not the first time we have had a COVID-19 disclaimer in the credits.

I think Rita’s showcase difference of $24,914 has got to be one of the worst ones ever, not including the ones caused by intentional $1 bids.

Wheel of Fortune still doesn't have anything like that, and they give away at least one trip every episode.

I can understand Rita trying to bid a little low on her Showcase as it was pretty likely Ryan was low as well. Still, $24,500 would probably be an underestimate for the Tesla by itself, let alone with a USVI trip and game console in there. When's the last time someone didn't even bid half the ARP?  :P

^I think it was SC1 on 5/20/19, which consisted of trips to Alaska, Texas, and China. Stagey bid $4,600.expect this to magically be edited when I remember one from this season
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

FWIW, Monday's crossover game on Let's Make A Deal was Plinko. The contestant was given three chips for nothing in an attempt to win as much as she could. They also had LMAD envelopes on the $1000 slots (they were never revealed). After the first two chips, the contestant had only won $600 and Wayne offered her a flat $2000 to quit the game. She refused and wound up hitting the $10000 on the last chip, for a total win of $10,600.
