Does Fremantle Own the Rights to Ralph Edwards Programs?

I was just wondering because Buzzr shows Bzzz! It would be cool if they did, Buzzr could show the obscure So You Think You Got Troubles?!, The Cross-Wits from the 70s and possibly...Truth or Consequences...if the episodes still exists.

The Wikipedia page for "Truth or Consequences" states Fremantle does have partial rights (and, being Wikipedia, I suppose citation is needed). I didn't see such statements for any of Ralph's other game show series.

And the Kennedy Name That Tune?

Oooooh, didn't think of that one. Hopefully it doesn't get tied up in music clearance problems. That show was THE big money weekly game show during the 1970s

That's my concern with it and the Lange version, that it would be too much of a hassle today to get all the songs cleared for broadcast.

Would Bob even approve of Truth or Consequences being rerun? Seeing that he refuses to let TPIR back on the air, this is a powder keg of sorts.

I don't think there's anything to object to. Barker's objection with regards to Price is mostly because of the models and the fur coats, but I'm not sure if that's the case with ToC.

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

Is Bob opposed to any old TPiR being shown? I thought he was only against episodes with fur coats (and similar prizes) being aired.

Probably the ones with models who are on bad terms with him.
