It’s really bad when you have Pay the Rent basically give the contestant $5,000 while it takes a huge unlikelihood Tomget that much in Punch-A-Bunch.
the game is awful, what can you do?
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

In Money Game, Drew said "trombones" after the contestant chose the winning last two numbers: 73. The song I believe Drew is referring to is actually "Seventy-six Trombones". Video of the song:
Is this a running gag on the show or does Drew not know the number in the song and that it just begins with a seven?

Roger, when was the last time we had a perfect Money Game playing?

Technically, wouldn't a "perfect" Money Game be winning the car after picking the three highest wrong pairs, so as to win as much money as possible without losing? I remember seeing that on the show before, but no comment was made about it.

(sorry for the bump but this episode did rerun today)

I don't think "perfect win" is a well-defined term, but to me, it means the contestant winning the game without making any mistakes. So perfect wins include getting all three numbers right the first time in Line em Up, winning Bonkers on the first attempt, etc. For Money Game, that would mean winning the car in two picks. But guessing the three highest non-correct numbers in addition to winning the car is what I would call a "maximum win," not a "perfect win." It's not the same simply because being wrong on three of the first four guesses is not what I would call perfection.

Since the cash in Money Game is a consolation for a loss in the game, I don't think winning cash plus the car should be counted as a "perfect win." The cash isn't an add on with the car like in Gas Money.
