I would have lost in Make Your Move, with the fan at $25 and the hammock at $801. And Temptation was quite winnable I thought, especially for a regular Price viewer.

Why did it feel like there were so many trips today?

Fantastic win in Five Price Tags! :-)

Sooner or later, someone's bound to win Temptation! Especially since they've obviously been tired of watching people screw up certain numbers, most of all the last.

I too wouldn't have won Make Your Move banking on the fan being $20 and not $25, the hammock being $801 and the trip being $7,000+. Thank heavens Kevin proved otherwise!

And, I've seen the Kia Rio enough times on the show to know that when Emmanuel chose $17,315, it was a slam dunk!

Golden West pool tables frequently end in -5, so I thought that + was the better option in Do the Math because a -9 ending is more likely than a -1 for the pizza oven. Thankfully, my reasoning was correct.

Cars in Temptation almost always end in 0 or 5, so good bailout there.

Temptation: For some reason, contestants don't like guessing 0 as the last digit as the car in this game despite the fact that it's almost always right. Compare to, say, Cover Up or Any #, where contestants fall for the "guess 0 as the last digit when it's never right" trap all the time. Go figure.

5PT: Nice win by Emmanuel! Good for him for going for the cheapest price on the board.

Honestly with Temptation, the smaller prizes are generally good enough that unless you really really want or need that car, it usually makes a lot more sense to take the prizes and avoid the hassle of winning the car. On todays show, I would have absolutely taken the prizes even if I had been 100% certain I had the price of the car correct. If the producers want more people to try and go for the car, you gotta lower the quality of the smaller prizes here.

Or tone down the fishbowl of cash.

It’s a lot easier to walk when you’re offered $3,000 in cash and a few much smaller prizes you may or may not use, than vice versa.

Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."

-Painful Temptation. But good on Rhea for taking the prizes.
-Sort of a dumb Vend loss. No way were the Pop-Tarts most expensive.
-Love the one-pick Tags win!
-Sort of a weird Move setup. There wasn't really anything there that seemed likely, good for Kevin for pulling it off anyway.

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

Deborah, the final contestant to be called down, was a contestant with Bob back in the ‘80s. Anyone know what episode? She had a picture of the appearance on her shirt. Is there a list somewhere of TPIR contestants playing twice?

VHS pegged down the date in Discord to be October 10, 1983. She was the first one called on down, got up on stage second, and played Now... and Then.

"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

-Drew Carey, interview with Athletic, September 16, 2020

"I honestly thought the doubler was gone, but 9821 going $0 makes sense"

-thatvhstapeguy, Discord message, April 5, 2023
