What??! A win in Pathfinder? Fantastic, and with a small prize to spare! :-)

Rogeno’s luck ran out quickly in Pocket Change. After his first pick things went downhill fast, including with his envelope choices.

Loved the win on Pathfinder, I feel like it’s been ages since we’ve seen that game won.

There were 2 winning combos on PTR today:

$1000- Cornbread ($4.49)

$5000- Dip ($4.99)+ Seasoning ($3.99)= $8.98

$10,000- Soap ($7.99) + Candy ($1.99)= $9.98

$100K- Olive Oil ($10.99)

Now you could have switched the Dip, Cornbread, or Seasoning around put one of them in the Mailbox.  As always, people keep putting the cheapest item in the mailbox.  I would have stopped at $10k if I was him.

PC- Bad luck and rotten envelopes

Pathfinder- GREAT WIN! I am glad she went with the 4 as I would gone with a nine and had to use my last chance.

Only bad spot- Another Double Overbid.

I wouldn't have gone for the $100k in PTR. If the two items in the third level are the most expensive of the five products revealed, then it is extremely unlikely that the top product is more unless it's a very generous setup. Playing along from home, I had Cornbread/Seasoning+Candy/Queso+Soap/Olive Oil and I would've quit at $10k.

Victoria made Pathfinder look easy! Best playing I've seen in a long time. It also made up for the bad-luck Pocket Change.

Heartbreaking DOB.

Combining the tpirstats site and my somewhat rusty math skills, it seems the last time that there wasn't a possible 100k solution that had the least expensive and the second-most expensive on the second floor was the first playing of Season 44, a whole 40 playings ago.

I don't think figuring out the two most expensive and least expensive items is too much to ask. Plus having half the board pretty much solved is a great advantage. Doesn't matter if people keep putting the candy bars in the mailbox, but gives me hope that the right player could win it when it isn't in ultra easy mode.

Besides that, we had a french Pocket playing with some bad luck and an easy path in Pathfinder. Let's hope we get an enjoyable finale tomorrow.

Pay the Rent actually had three solutions:

Seasoning (3.99) < Cornbread mix + Queso (4.49 + 4.99 = 9.48) < Candy bar + Softsoap (1.99 + 7.99 = 9.98) < Olive oil (10.99)
Cornbread mix (4.49) < Seasoning + Queso (3.99 + 4.99 = 8.98) < Candy bar + Softsoap (1.99 + 7.99 = 9.98) < Olive oil (10.99)
Queso (4.99) < Seasoning + Cornbread mix (3.99 + 4.49 = 8.48) < Candy bar + Softsoap (1.99 + 7.99 = 9.98) < Olive oil (10.99)

Pocket Change: Rotten luck with the envelopes, but at least it happened when the price of the car was high. Imagine if the price was just 75 cents and the contestant only got to 55 cents total.

Pathfinder: A win! With an SP left to spare!! Well done, Victoria!

Showcases: Ouch. Elizabeth was over by just $242.

Still, a very entertaining show.

On PTR- I know the producers are always wanting them to put the cheapest in the mailbox, so many of them will bail at $5k or $10K and not have to pay out the $100K.

Not only that, but a WSD to boot, albeit $242 off

Just one show left, 9172K, tomorrow. I have to fix a couple small things in the recap when I get home from work.
The two sets of TV listings that I get still show "generic" entries for the rest of the week, so if you record the show, make sure it's being recorded. Some systems will treat the remaining shows as repeats, and others will treat them as new episodes.

About 21-26, depending on if the week of June 29-July 3 has 2 (as originally planned) or 5 episodes (originally planned after "Mash-Up Week" was postponed, and episodes were preempted for impeachment coverage), plus if anymore episodes needed to be made up.

Pathfinder- GREAT WIN! I am glad she went with the 4 as I would gone with a nine and had to use my last chance.

Never go for 0, 5, or 9 for the last digit in Pathfinder. It's always wrong, except when both choices are two of those numbers.

In fact, the last time Pathfinder used a car ending in 0/5/9 and both choices were NOT two of those numbers was WAY back on December 4, 2008, the first playing of the post-Dob era. Final choice was 0 or 8; the 0 was right.

Any time one choice for the final digit is 0/5/9 and the other is something else, the 0/5/9 is wrong. NO exceptions. The only times they use cars with those three ending digits is when they make both of them choices.

Adam, I think something's wrong with your recap for this episode; I noticed that Pocket Change was mistakenly labeled as being won for some reason when in fact, it was lost...would you correct that for me?
