Apparently they’re re-airing “my” show today.

The CBS schedule that was posted has reached the end. Until if / when they update it again, can we go back to manually tracking the reruns?

I would be in favor of that, though I won't be watching every day to see which episode is which. So if someone could cover for what I miss I would be most appreciative.

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

Here’s a question for someone to figure out. Let’s assume that the reruns stick exclusively to Season 48 and they don’t deviate into anything older, and also assume that every Season 48 episode is replayed at least once, on what date will they run out of episodes to rerun without either airing them for a third time, or having to stretch back into Season 47 or older?

Doing a quick count from the date of the last first run episode (June 2nd) onward, so this doesn't factor in any reruns that aired before it, it'd be roughly January 19th, 2021. I say roughly because New Year's Day falls on a Friday, so Price may be preempted that day. Possibly Thanksgiving Day too come to think of it. But somewhere in there, which all told means they'd have had a good 7 and a half months to produce new shows, before they'd need to repeat any a 3rd time. So that won't be an issue for a little while yet, with 164 shows for the year, they got plenty of reruns to air.

That’s actually a lot longer than I would have guessed. I know in the past we’ve heard that every season there are a handful of episodes that get labeled as do not re-air for various reasons mostly relating to the quality of the episode itself, so even if you venture that there may be a dozen or so episodes that the producers decide they don’t want to run again, and another dozen or so that already ran as a repeat during the course of the Season, they’re still good to go pretty much through the Holidays.

Most years, the only day the show has a scheduled pre-emption, as opposed to a scheduled repeat, is Thanksgiving Day (because of the parade and an NFL game). Both Christmas and New Year's Days usually have repeats if they're weekdays.

For New Year's I assume repeat would be for West Coast? I forgot about fact that Rose Parade would be only be on at the time show normally airs in the East, Central and Mountain (?) Time Zones. (CBS does run that each year still right?)

Also, incidentally....when CBS has the late game vs. the early game on Thanksgiving, does West get a show in those cases? Or not even then?

No episode in either case. If CBS has the early game, I'm pretty sure the parade airs after it in the west (it's tape delayed in the west anyway - even on NBC).

Thanks for the update. Seems strange that they’re picking random episodes out of production order and airing them, you’d think it would just be simpler to air them all in order, not that it matters for anything other than theme weeks.

Since they couldn't tape one for this year, will they be reairing last season's 4th of July show this Friday?
