1233: How much is that baseball cap?

{Amber pours bin of coins on to left side of scale}

{scales sways way to the left}

{ding}

$32 for the cap. Now if this cup is between $27 and $37, you'll be a winner. Let's see.

{Amber pours second bucket of coins on right}

{scales doesn't budge}

{ding}

Well that definitely isn't balanced. What will be your next move?

{Amber pours more coins into right side}

{scales sways a bit more to the right}

1233: Are you kidding me!?! It looks balanced to me, can't we just say it is and move on?

{camera pans to producer shaking head no offstage}

...guess not.

What will your next pick be, Plinkoman? You have the ink and the game left to use.

{audience starts pointing and yelling}

{places more coins on right side}

{right side drops heavily}

1233: This is looking pretty good now. If that board game costs anywhere from $19 to $29, you are going to be the proud owner of this car.

Let the chips fall, Amber!!

{pours chips on left side}

{right side rises slightly}

{buzz}
{groans from crowd}

$11 off, not close enough to balance it out. I hope you still had fun up on stage.

We will have one more pricing game coming up after this break.

{Mambo Number 5 playing on speakers, camera looks over the audience}

1233: Hey, let's turn the music down, I need a little less Monica in my life right now.

Before we continue, there is some business that needs to be taken care of.

In our previous game, Balance Game, the revealing of the first two prices at once might have put Plinkoman at a disadvantage. I'm 90% 95% 99.9% certain that the hat price would have change Plinkoman's next pick.

Therefore, as we always air on the side of the contestant, we're gonna give Plinkoman that new Buick!!!

{loud cheers from whole crowd}

Also, say bye to the original Balance Game, because I'm never, ever playing it again.  :lol:

With all that out of the way, we only have time for one more contestant on the show. Who is it going to be, Mr. Announcer?

Announcer: It's going to be wpghi5, come on down, you are the next contestant on the Price is Right!!

{cheers}

1233: What is the final item for these lovely players to bid on?

{GPT rises}

Announcer: It's a mini butter churner!! {modeled by Amber}

A modern twist on a colonial classic! This stainless steel, hand-cranked butter churner an turn a maximum of 1 gallon of cream into tasty homemade butter after 20-30 minutes of cranking!!

{claps from crowd}

1233: These are your final bids, so make them count.

Bidding Order:

Huh, for fun, here were all the possible solutions I could find (and I might have missed some, so correct me if I did):

Cap = Ink + $2

DVD = Cup + Game + $1
Ink = DVD + Cup + $4
Cap + $1 = DVD + Game
Ink + Cup = Cap + $4
Ink + $3 = DVD + Game

Ink + Cup = DVD + Game + $3
Cap + Cup = DVD + Game + $5
Cap + Game + $5 = Ink + DVD

Cap + Game + Cup = Ink + DVD + $1

The only way out was putting the ink with the cup as the third item, because I don't see another way out. Well, other than a technical win, of course, but I digress.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

-Drew Carey, interview with Athletic, September 16, 2020

"I honestly thought the doubler was gone, but 9821 going $0 makes sense"

I have to go with my gut...$1300. (Since wpghi is new to the row I'll give him a little wiggle room)  :P
CSS: Exacta, 6/3/2019
Lifetime earnings: $1,896,732
Season 18 cash earnings: $629,243
Season 19 cash earnings: $490,110
FPG: 2019-2020 Finals Champion
...............................

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

wpghi5---------------->  $1,283
geniusinmath ---------->$1,624
pathfinder20 ---------->$500
tpir04 ----------------->$1,300

1233: The last item up for bids, bets of luck to all four of you. The actual retail price is...

...follow me back here, pathfinder20!!!

{loud cheers}
{walks to door 2}

{picks up magic marker, hands it to pathfinder}

As I hand you this marker, I just realized that this is the third game in a row where I've just given the contestant something before we even start the game. You probably don't care, but I just thought I'd say it anyway.

Now you are going to play the Gallery Game. If you can help me finish this masterpiece, I will gladly reward you with a great prize. What is it, Mr. Announcer?

{door 2 opens}

Announcer: It's a new floor clock!!! {modeled by James}

From Columbus Globe, this illuminated 51" tall floor globe i a great addition to any house. The brilliantly detailed map on this globe showcases the planet's political attributes when it is not illuminated, has an acrylic sphere for more robust coloring and eloqently stays perched on a stainless steel slanted stand!!!

{cheers}

1233: Now I don't want to be too pretentious, but we were able to get a world-renowned artist to paint the globe for us in the game today.

Announcer: That's not entirely true, Numbers.

1233: What do you mean?

Announcer: When your painter got here and heard about the job, they said it was "too elementary for their liking" and "against their morals to keep the painting incomplete". Their words, not mine.

1233: ...so who painted it?

Announcer: Yours truly, of course. Free of charge, too. Well, I used the money you were gonna give the real painter, but free of charge otherwise.

{gulps, removes curtain}

Announcer: Not half bad, if I say so myself

1233: It's...somewhat resembles a globe. I'll give you that much.

Now that globe is something thousand, eight hundred and thirty-nine dollars. Just use that marker I gave you earlier to complete the price and the globe is yours.

Heck, I'm in a good mood, if you win, I'll throw the painting in too.  :-)

1233: It looks like pathfinder20 has gone missing. Therefore, we will call the next closest bidder up in the meantime.

wpghi5, despite being $500 over, come on up!

{runs up on stage}

We would hate for this game to go back into retirement without so much as an attempt, so this is what I'll do. Whichever one out of the two of you that responds with a guess first will be considered the player for the game. Good luck to both of you.
