Bopsa Moog (TPiR Showcase)
« on: June 27, 2020, 06:13:16 PM »
Over a decade ago, the music request thread was locked.  I had read that someone is looking for the "Bopsa Moog" cue.  And as of February 2020, it's finall here!!!!!  This is the original cut of this cue.  This was before this cue was edited for the Showcase segment in the Barker era.  Here are the links--

This has always been one of my favorite cues, and I've wanted to hear it in the clear for the longest time. Thank you for sharing it! ^_^

Glad we were able to find this cue! It along with another one from around the same time were two of my favourite Showcase cues! I made an edit that sounds similar to the one they used on the show if anyone was interested.

Oh my freaking God...I love this cue, and I haven't heard it in years.  It's probably my favorite song that was introduced in the '90s.

I like that cue.  There's another one from the same era that I'm trying to find.  I'm trying to remember the showcases it was featured on but I'm drawing a blank.  The old first edition DVD game had it I know that.

Is there a page on this website, or perhaps another website, that has a list of cues available for listening?

On a subscription basis, the Museum of Television Production Music.

It's well worth the $50 a year, though.

Coincidentally, around the time I ran into that cue, this thread was created.  I had no idea that the Bopsa Moog cue was one that was in demand prior to its upload.  I thought it was one of those cues that I almost forgot about prior to hearing it on YouTube, then remembering it, reliving the past, and missing the old music from the show

Either way, thanks, tdawgg3x!  I did not know that this wasn't on YouTube until shortly before playing it that weekend.  With the extra time I have had lately, added to and including remote work, it's been a blast hearing some of the classics.  That includes whatever cue TPIRViewer linked to

As much as I love the classics, the 1994 package is right up there in second place, personally.  For me, it reflects a time where, as we headed into the then future (21st Century), TPIR was still awesome and could & did adapt to the era that we were in, while sticking to the past with not too many new changes.  No disrespect to the current period (I actually think the changes in terms of all of the cues were fair enough), but man, what a time to be alive!

You're quite welcome as always, buddy.  But the real thanks should go out to YouTuber tpirman1982 for that discovery.
