Biiiiig moves, bidding's already up to $4,450!

A reminder that new bidders are allowed to bid under $4,450, but they must freeze immediately upon bidding.

...How does upping work for non-frozen bids? If I wanted to up 04, do I bid $1,031, since it's not a frozen top bid and technically doesn't have the $20 cushion, or $1,050? Whatever it is, I'll throw insult to injury by bidding it and freezing.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

Without the cushion, $1,031 is an acceptable bid. I'm assuming you want to do that.

Up to 12 bids, and little over 24 hours to go!

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

Sorry, rockyboy; when you underbid at $1,130 you were required to automatically freeze, since it was under the top bid.

[Host note: I'm not exactly in love with this rule after seeing it in action, but for fairness purposes we'll enforce it for the rest of this episode.

Before putting this together I playtested three different versions with some friends:
A) one where you raise to whatever amount you wanted, as long as it was >$20 more than your previous bid
B) one where you could raise to whatever amount you wanted, but must freeze immediately if it was below the top bid
C) the Cullen-style rules that we have now, where raises must be over the top bid

Option C worked well with 4-7 people, and that's what I thought would be typical. But if 12+ bids are happening regularly I'm wondering if option A or B would have been better. Clearly there are some kinks in this format need to be worked out.]
