I've got a respectable range, I'll freeze.
CSS: Exacta, 6/3/2019
Lifetime earnings: $1,896,732
Season 18 cash earnings: $629,243
Season 19 cash earnings: $490,110
FPG: 2019-2020 Finals Champion
...............................

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

Aaaaaaand.... TIME! Freeze all bids, please!

We have nine bidders placing thirteen bids, coming in with bids ranging from $650 to $1,450. Best of luck to all of you.

The actual retail price of those smartwatches... IS!

$945, and rockyboy34, our opening bidder, will take it!

123123123, I'm so sorry, you were a mere $4 over, and geniusinmath was holding onto a winning bid for most of the round until he raised at the last second. You'll have three more chances to win your way onstage. For now, Announcerman, tell our winner the good news!

rockyboy34, COME ON DOWN! You're the next contestant on the Price is Right!

*rockyboy34 stands up from his seat and runs up on stage, TPIR94-style*

rockyboy, that's right, you've won those watches and you've won your way up on stage! It's a pleasure to meet you.

I understand that this is your first-ever time on gamesurf's Price is Right, and you've won the first-ever IUFB you've played on this edition of the show. But those smartwatches are just the start, rockyboy! You have a chance to win more... in fact, much, much more! We have a smattering array of prizes for you! Just LOOK at what we have behind these doors!

*the band begins to play a swing version of the Casino Night theme*

It's a puissant pair of mopeds, a bold bill changer, a nifty knife set, and a gleaming gas grill!

First, from X-pro, these 50cc engine mopeds come with automatic transmission, a top speed of 40 mph, and are street legal in all 50 states!

Second, this front-loading bill changer can change bills $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills both old and new, and holds a capacity of up to 3,200 quarters in change!

Third, from Miyabi, this artisan knife set comes with seven artisan knives handcrafted in Seki, Japan, sharpened by hand with an ancient 3-step process and lovingly handcrafted with with rosewood handles. Comes with sharpening steel, twin kitchen shears, and a beautiful walnut block for easy access!

And finally, from Turbo, this 64"x 25" x 51 stainless steel freestanding propane grill offers 740 square inches of cooking space, and offers the most surefire way to turn delicious vegetables & meats into tasty snacks!

And rockyboy, I want you to win all four of those, and not only can you win all four, but you can also win up to $3,000 in cash to go with it! You're going to want to win as much as you can, because not only are those four prizes terrific, but because the two top winners at the end of the show will get to compete in the showcases for even MORE prizes!

The game is called Step Up, and here's how it's played. The object is to try to start at the bottom--the least expensive prize--and pick a prize that is a "step up" every time. As long as you're able to continue picking prizes that are more expensive than the prize above them, you'll win more and more. If you can pick all four prizes from least to most expensive, you'll win everything behind this door, PLUS a bonus of $3,000!

rockyboy, the first task I have for you is to pick the least expensive prize. Which of those four prizes do you believe the least expensive?

Oh wow.

Out of all of them, I'd say the knife set is the least expensive.

The knive set, he says. What is the price of the knive set?

$1,200. Hopefully that's the least expensive of the four!

Rockyboy, your next task is to pick the prize that is a "step up" above the knive set. Ideally that would be the second-least expensive prize.

If you can pick a prize that's more expensive than $1,200, you will win both prizes, AND a $500 bonus to go with it! Which prize is a "step up" above the knive set?

FWIW I'd go the grill, change machine, mopeds in that order.

He says the grill is more than $1,200, and is he right?

*DING!*

He is! And he's won the knive set and the grill, and a $500 bonus!

But the question is... is that grill too much more?

Rockyboy, if you believe that either the change machine or the mopeds cost more than $2,248, you can risk what you've won and pick it. If you're right, you'll win THAT prize as well, plus $1,000 extra to go with your $500!

But beware! If you're wrong, you'll lose everything you've won in this game so far! Do you want to take what you have and sit down? Or do you want to chance it and pick another prize?

The change machine, he says! If that change machine is worth more than $2,248, you'll win all three prizes and $1,500.

Show us the price!

*BUZZ!*

*trombone player lets out the losing horns*

No! No, I'm sorry rockyboy. To be fair, that change machine could have been anything. I would have been thrown by that too.

Would the mopeds have won it for you?

No, they too were a hair shy. The right thing to do in this situation would have been to quit. I'm sorry, rockyboy. But you still have your smartwatches, of course, and perhaps you'll get a chance to win your way up onstage again in another item up for bids.

Next item up for bids will be coming up after these messages, at 6 PM EST/9 PM PST. Don't go away!

Welcome back! We've got an audience full of bidders at the ready, and it's time for another Item Up For Bids!

What do you have for us, Voice Guy?

*band cues up a swing version of You Make Me Feel So Young*

It’s a pretentious chess set!

Assert your intellectual dominance by proudly displaying this aurate chess set! These imported Italian chess pieces are made from a solid wood stem with brass bases and Staunton icons on the top, and a Turkish chess board featuring an arena-like coliseum design and glossy mother-of-pearl designs. Also includes a German chess clock. You’ll never view chess in the same way again!

And, just like before, the one who goes closest without going over wins the chess set.

You know the rules by now--anybody in the audience is eligible to bid. Raises must be at least $20 over the top bid, frozen bids get $20 cushions, and you may only underbid on your opening bid.

Who will walk away with that chess set? Bidding is now open!

*in lieu of traditional think music, the band strikes up a brass version of Shake It Off*

Bidding will freeze at 6 PM EST/9 PM PST on Sunday, July 19. Good luck!

I'm fairly sure that top bid never appeared on the Cullen version. $666 is our top bid, anybody willing to go higher?
