Totally didn't see this thread (somehow) while I was rather active in the OILF section.  No picks from me, but I don't think I could've or would've made them anyway.  It's a total wildcard with the postseason.  Both teams that benefited from bonus Hockey (Overtime) lost to even the series.  That was some greatness between Tampa & Columbus and then to a lesser extent, Boston & Carolina.  I'm so glad that Hockey didn't change postseason rules to shootouts and 3-on-3 (though the latter is actually exciting while the former is a better tie-breaker for soccer).

Meanwhile, it may be early, but the most embarrassing and historic playoff loss might not be that as Montreal totally dominated Philadelphia.  They hung in there in their 2-1 loss earlier this week, but maybe Carey Price is not onboard with a total rebuild, but rather, a man with something to prove.  I don't know or think it'll happen, but the Canadians are a current example of the fact that games don't cancelled due to lopsided odds; it's all about one's performance in said game

Second round matchups are set

Flyers vs. Islanders
Bruins vs. Lightning

Golden Knights vs. Canucks
Avalanche vs. Stars

My predictions:
Flyers in 7
Bruins in 6

Golden Knights in 5
Avalanche in 6

Also if Tampa Bay loses the series, it will be yet another early playoff exit which gets Jon Cooper fired.

For the 27th year in a row, there will not be a Canadian team winning the Stanley Cup as Vegas eliminates Vancouver. Next up, Vegas takes on the Dallas Stars.

Well they tried and kept it close for most of the game but sometimes being down in a hole from 3-1 it can be tough to come back from that deficit. If there is any good thing the off season will not be as long as it has in years past.

Congrats to your team.  Though I felt bad for Vegas (not that much though based on their goalie decisions) it's amazing how a team that's been in the league for 3 years has been one of the last four teams left 2 of those three years.  Last year was a painful loss, but still amazing I think.

The Stars should be okay in the finals.  Saying they'll have their hands full doesn't mean too much.  It's a level playing field for all competing postseason teams (excluding the qualifying round losers).  It's totally the opposite of the NBA
