The Stars won't know their opponents just yet thanks to the Isles forcing Game 6 last night.

It's Tampa Bay and Dallas in the Finals after the Lightning eliminated the Islanders in overtime tonight.

I predict Tampa Bay wins in 6.

Should be a great final, but I think the Lightning are due

An all-Florida sports sweep is certainly possible this year, with the Lightning in the finals, the Heat up 2-0 in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals, the Rays in first place in the AL East with the playoffs just around the corner, and who knows what will happen in the NFL even if FL's teams have been bad recently, though at least Jacksonville won their opener. This is the first time that the Stanley Cup finals have been against teams who are located in southern states, something you'd expect more with the NCAA football championship. In fact, this is the second southernmost possible Stanley Cup Final matchup (only the Stars and Panthers are located more geographicaly southward). I'll bet Canada is VERY upset about that fact since not only the land up north has had such a long title drought, the teams who could win it aren't even close to Canada!

Dallas in seven

I'm rooting for Tampa Bay, of course, but Dallas is a very good team.  They were doing well before everything was shutdown.  Both teams are good, really; they do have their flaws.  However I think the Stars will win their first cup in over 20 years, but not before losing four of their first three games (winning one of their first three though)

I believe you mean three of four....since you can't lose four out of three... :p

For the first time since the 2003-04 season, Tampa Bay wins the Stanley Cup.  Great bounceback after getting swept in the first round past season.
