I'm not so sure, I think the bearded look works for him. I hope he keeps it, just my two cents.

I'm not going to say it looks bad. It doesn't. But comparing him on-air from this past season to this picture, what a drastic difference!

Should he keep this look? Yes and no. Yes in that he could really rock it and that it suits him well. No in that, honestly, it'll take quite a while to get used to. (Though I suppose Bob did too, when he went gray back in '87.)

Other international hosts were great with some facial hair like Harry Wijnvoord of the German PIR. A little shave will do, but Drew will surely look better on-cam with some facial hair.

Yet another one that admires Drew with the facial hair.  As mentioned, a little touch up and he'll be good to go.  For the record, I think he'd be the third person to host a CBS daytime gameshow in about 4-5 decades with facial hair.

I could see him start up with it, but then do away with it.  Somewhat emulating what Letterman did following his return from the writers strike in 2008.  Either way, unlike many people, Drew does look good with it, maybe better than without it

Upon further inspection, Drew says below the pic that it is his "new look". So maybe the beard is here to stay.

The pandemic making beards acceptable for celebrities and politicians again is about the only positive I can find.
