I think this is the first time Drew has ever said, "the fabulous Showcase."

He's been saying it multiple times this week.

Excluding games in the "big 4", they played perhaps the two hardest car games today for cars less than $19,000. They really do seem to be trying to control the budget.
This is where the show could offer more expensive cars since the likelihood of them being won is nearly zero percent, especially in the case of STD.

Perfect pricing of grocery products and correct strategy in today's Stack the Deck would have left the contestant to decide between $16,xxx & 19,xxx.

I agree with all posters who have commented that the early BONUS zoom is unnecessary and jarring.

I believe that was the most expensive prize ever offered in Check Game history.

Are the first four contestants told which podium to occupy at the start of the show?

It certainly looks like it.  So far, they've only gone in two orders -- RYBG and YRGB.

I wonder what would happen if a contestant deviates from the podium they are told to go to. Stop tape? Replace contestant?? If I’m a contestant and I see Golden Road set up on stage, I’m heading straight for the GREEN podium!

I wanted MoTown to go to the showcases, but I’ll settle w/ Jennifer’s SC win.

7/10

Recap posted.

A couple notes:

This week was enjoyable and doing the recap later has made it easier to enjoy.

I'm the current recapper of WHEEL episodes back at Buy a Vowel, and I do tend to do 'em early the next day rather than immediately (especailly when the ep itself is quite messy).

It must have been originally booked for Wheel of Fortune since all their trips start at $7K.

To my knowledge, WHEEL hasn't booked that trip...yet.

That Gas Money win was enjoyable from beginning to end, but Stack the Deck was another story with its unfortunate wipeout. Also, what an evil Check Game!

Okay what the actual designer accessories was that Check Game?

I understand not being able to write a $4,000 check and win, but having a $2,000 check be OVER?  Did budget mode start already, or are they saving up for another shot at $200,000 center slot Plinko way too early in a season?

^You should have seen Check Game in Season 46 or 47 then before they raised the range. Heck, there was even a playing that played out just as you feared, with a $2,000 check going over.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."
