CSS Leaderboard: 5/18/2007 (After 32 Weeks/153 Games)
« on: May 18, 2007, 05:34:51 PM »
It's going to be a tight finish.  Joe_Mello needs to play in at least one game next week to clinch his playoff spot, and if he doesn't, Ludwig is all but in, and Chief-O has a really good shot.  siowafc also has an outside chance to steal the spot from Chief.

Meanwhile, in the monies department, PaulMiller is clinging to 8th, but guess who's less than $3,000 behind him?  It's Ludwig, followed closely by PriceFan985 and Chief.  If any of them can grab some more money next week, siowafc will have a much better chance of making it, and even catfan2002 might have a shot.  Among others looking to sneak into one of the money positions include  myself, namnhu12, and, if he has another week like he did this one, wschmrdr still has a slight chance.  Paul's nails must be down past their cuticles right now. :oldlol:

As was proven last year, anything can happen in the final week.  Can someone sneak in like heels did last year?  It's going to be rather exciting!!!

LOWEST OF THE LOW -- WEEK 32

SINGLE SHOWCASE:

1.  RobertSearcy - He did it again!  An exacta on Wednesday's $23K+ Pontiac G6 showcase;
2.  LudwigMackdaddy - $5 away on the FRBS on Thursday worth over $27K;
3.  rcbought - one of three DSW/Overs this week, with a $7 difference on Monday's $16K+ Cobalt showcase.

And incidentally, we also had a FOURTH single-digit difference, $9 by wschmrdr on Thursday!  Wow!

TOTAL DIFFERENCE:

1.  Doughnut - $751 total away from Thursday's Boat/Van combo worth almost $53.5K;
2.  RobertSearcy - $1,145 away from Monday's Cobalt/Dining Room package worth a shade under $32K;
3.  LudwigMackdaddy - also on Thursday, with a $1,227 total difference.

BUDGET BUSTERS:

1.  RobertSearcy - $81,349 (Wednesday/Friday)
2.  wschmrdr - $76,514 (Monday/Friday)
3.  LudwigMackdaddy - $53,451 (Thursday)

One other tidbit...Sally and I both earned our first DSW's of the season on Tuesday.
They can be close at the top, too.

Best Case Scenario: Face Searcy for the playoffs.
Worst Case Scenarios: Face PriceFan or Fireball for the spot.  Hopefully I will get it together next week.  I must get it together this coming week.  (Is it me or it seems like I am playing copycat with Fireball?  :confused: )

It's me and Doughnut that are on the bubble now in points average, I had 2 overs this week and slipped a bit.  I'll need a good showing next week to hold down a spot in the playoffs

Fields, you're 4th in point average among the non-money leaders.  You're pretty much in. :-)

If I didn't over on that $9 day, I would still have a shot at points. But, as Yogi Berra said, "It ain't over til it's over."

The line is designed as such that it should end up at 60 at the end of each season.  As there are 33 weeks and not 30, this means that six weeks out of the 33 will only see the line move up 1 and not 2.

I should be in, but just to be safe, I'd like to get some money one more time. Then again, first things first... I just need to learn how to simply score again. Honestly, I feel ready for the playoffs. I'm actually playing well. The one problem is that I'm on the wrong side every day. I'm close basically every time, so it's just a matter of being on the right side. So, that's my main goal this week- to get back on track heading into the playoffs. Since the money leaders' seeds are determined by points, my seed is locked, so at least I know where I'll be. I hope PriceFan scores some money this week and becomes a money seed, because he's the last person I want to face in my first game.

You're putting up blanks every day and you feel confident?  If I had five zero's in a row, I'd be tempted to jump out the nearest window...

Agh! I go away for a couple of weeks and I'm on the cusp of making the playoffs! I wish I had known earlier. Oh well, I'm going to play tomorrow for double points and hopefully get enough. Anyone who wants to WSD (or even WSQ) to help me out, go ahead.

I don't know why I still checking this board since I know I am completely out of the tourney.  Tomorrow will be my last css for this season.  I'm not going to participate on monday even though it is the show that was supposed to air today. I'll just start the css again next season, whenever that season starts remains to be seen.  Of course I say I won't participate, but knowing me, I'll do it out of instinct.
