For my taste, there's not enough gameplay and too much "reality show" feel (in particular, the audience's reaction to each time someone lowers the bid in the Bid a Note round is so overblown I can't watch.)

The Tom Kennedy and Jim Lange versions were much better.

I'm in the minority and actually quite enjoy the show...but this is EASILY my biggest complaint about it. The audience being prompted to "oooh" and "aaah" when someone says "I can name that tune in nine notes." is ridiculous to the point of parody.

Otherwise, for me, it's a harmless distraction.

I think it is very good. The music is excellent. This is one of the best revival of a game show since Double Dare. I love everything about this show.

Watched it so far. Enjoy the game play when thereís actual game play. The audience reactions are way overdone. Not enough game. The money is out of whack. Jane is painful, and I like her normally.

The band is great. Spanning so many genres and eras makes the game a genuine challenge.

The material used so far is great, encompassing all eras relevant to today's listeners and audience (no more Mantovani, who in fact is so obscure nowadays that he was dropped from The World Almanac's Entertainers of the Past club in the 2020 edition), and the pace moves along reasonably well. One major rule change to this version is that the song title must be exact; in the Kennedy version, this only applied for the $100,000 Tune. This resulted in two incorrect rulings on last week's shows, meaning that its sometimes better to hum than sing/rap.

I do like the dollar format more than the point format since it does reward a player more for knowing absolutely more. I'd wish Cassette Roulette would be more like Melody Roulette, except instead of a double for the second reel, it would be simply money amounts with a car space. It would be a nice mix of MR and Tune Topics IMO.

The ooohs and aahs for Bid A Note should only be used if someone could say that they could name it in one note, as this was the only time it was heard in the classic version. But this version has potential if Fox gives it the proper support, and I'll be watching another episode tonight.

I'd give it an 8/10.

The clues in Bid-a-Note are TOO EASY! Last night every single one was correctly guessed in ONE NOTE!
