Car games: ...wow...
Cliffy: Ah, don't you love it when a contestant doesn't know how pricing works in some games? (four seven nine! four seven nine!)
Showcases: I had that Jetta at 20k.

Oh, and Squeeze: That setup is just a BIT hard. Just a bit. Not too much.

Merging posts.

Bring back Penny Ante, but have it with 3 prizes, one grocery item/prize, 5 pennies, and a $3-5K bonus for playing perfectly, and maybe, just maybe, I will enjoy the show more.

Edit: The showcases are better, so the show is being enjoyed.

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

Even though Pass The Buck is one of my favorite games, I shall comment on Pocket Change first. What a win! Can't do it any better! :-)

Not the most suspenseful play in Buck, but very nice win there also. Has anyone ever gone for money after winning the auto?

Considering the other exacta nearly 12 years ago was on a much easier price (16930), this is probably the best Pocket playing of all time.

I don't think so. Waiting for that to happen...
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

The highlight of today's show was Pamela's perfect playing of Pocket Change.
It was only the 5th perfect playing in the game's history , the game's 1st season ( Season 33 ) had 3 of them and 5/28/09 was the other one.

Considering the other exacta nearly 12 years ago was on a much easier price (16930), this is probably the best Pocket playing of all time.

I agree with you on that , cause the other 3 perfect playings of the game , the car price also ended in a 0 ( 16430 , 21490 , 17920 )

In true Bob Barker fashion, Drew Carey has hosted the show for so long that he now incorrectly refers to moments like the Pocket Change win today as a “historic moment.”

Not only that, but all of the digit choices were consecutive, which they've been doing a lot in games like this lately (3 Strikes, Stack)

Like others, I absolutely loved the exacta on Pocket Change. Just beautiful to watch.

On a side note though, I was secretly hoping for a “Groundhog Day” tribute and put out the exact same Showcase twice (a la the movie). I know it was kinda done once years ago as an April Fool gag, but it could have worked here too.

Squeeze Play was fairly easy, $5,3xx was more likely than $5,2xx.

On the other hand, tough Swap Meet with the TV being correct rather than the accessories. Cliff Hangers had quite a mean setup, with just $4 between the first two SPs and then a $18 jump between the 2nd and 3rd. The $47 bid on the facial sauna certainly didn't help though.

What a win in Pocket Change! An excellent way to wrap up the pricing games for the day.

Pocket ¢hange.  Holy crap.  That hasn't happened in at least a decade.

On the other hand, I'm not that great at the Showcase these days, but I thought it was pretty dang obvious this was going to be a double overbid.
