Note, I did a dumbass thing, mistook a different green signal for my green, hit the gas and rearended a tow truck last night. I'm incredibly depressed right now. I will get the recap done as soon as the show's posted at 6, but it may be without its flairs.

Hope you are doing alright Adam.

Ouch, a loss with the $5,000 range in Card Game. Not sure how many contestants would've gone up high enough to win given the large range.

On the other hand, Grand Game was really easy today.

Adam, I know this is easier said than done, but try to remember it was a simple mistake. Your worth as a human being isn't defined by making a simple mistake. I'm sure many of us have done stupider stuff than that, myself included. Again, I know this is easier said than done. Now on to the show...

Card Game: I was hoping the contestant would know they never offer cars less than $20k in this game and so he'd go above that amount. If he had, he would've won, but to be sure, they set that up to be lost. And good for Drew for calling out the stage hands that push the car on to the stage! Until you see it in studio, it's hard to appreciate what a well-oiled machine the show really is.

Grand Game: Nice win!

Temptation: SO CLOSE to our first win in this game in over 5 years. Man that was tough to watch.

Showcases: Yet another really good bid. The contestants covered themselves in glory in showcase bidding this week!

There are other ways to get Card Game losses, jackasses.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Hang in there Adam, things are going to get better.

-Card Game: With the budget the way it is, a loss here did not surprise me. Sad still though because of that sweet $5,000 range card.
-Side by Side: Should not have been lost, I thought that was incredibly easy.
-Showcases: I gotta say, Stagey's bids have been excellent as of late.

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

No, it wasn't. It was set up to be lost. Any time one choice ends in 0/5/9 and the other choice doesn't, and the latter is the right choice, they don't want it won and it isn't "easy". It's deceptive.

Is there a reason the Yodel sound on Cliff Hangers starts from the beginning every time? The timing of the song also did not lineup with Hans beginning his climb.

Also thought it was odd that there were dings during the reveal of the first four numbers in Temptation. In the past there would have been no dings here since the contestant bailed out.

Is someone new operating the sound effects and music for the show?

Sorry to hear.

I was in a similar accident in 2000 ... except it was the other driver. I had the green light but the guy on the cross street apparently was the one looking at the light from the next street, and I T-boned him. Fortunately, no injuries, and the other driver was remorseful.

Hoping things are better today.

On The Franches Mountain starting over within every prize isn't new this year.  Not a big fan of it as it's rather odd, but as mentioned, it might be a sub or someone filling in for the regular sound effects person.  As for Temptation, the bailouts aren't super common but neither are dings/buzzer for a meaningless reveal (in meaningless I mean post-bailout).  This has occurred in the past however, so I don't think it's too much of a big deal.

Stay strong, Adam.  What's most important is that you and everyone else is/are okay.
