2 right, and then 1 right in Switcheroo. Well, the contestant never had the car price correct.

Pretty easy setup in Safe Crackers.

I don’t understand! With 5 products available, why would someone apparently go for between 20 and 22 dollars with one product in Grocery Game?? Seventeen taco seasonings?? I had to shake my head at that choice.

I would have lost Double Prices.

Arghh! Foiled by that expensive-looking refrigerator in More Or Less.

Did you see the back of Kenneth’s “Cool Cat” T-shirt? In block letters: “Remember folks, help control the pet population”. I like, and I think Bob would like as well. :-)

I will never understand why someone would pick seventeen taco seasonings in Grocery Game.

Not sure what all the complaints are about buying that many taco seasonings.  There’s been a handful of folks that have attempted to one-shot Grocery Game throughout the years and some have even succeeded. If you knew the price of an item, and how many you needed to reach the target range, wouldn’t you just go for it?

Now obviously in this scenario, the contestant judged the price wrong.  But I don’t see anything wrong with the strategy they used.

I do agree that if you are absolutely sure of the price of a product in Grocery Game (for example, you might have seen it recently on the show), going for the win with that one product makes sense. It seems obvious though that today's player was not absolutely sure and/or thought the seasoning cost much less than it actually did. In those cases why not just take one or two or a few of that product, especially at the start when there would be four products left?

Definitely a bad decision to go with all those taco seasonings to start off in Grocery Game. It was clearly the least expensive item and should've been saved for the end.

I was quite surprised the correct answer was Less on the fridge, it looked like it would be over $3,000. Too bad he couldn't win the car.

Given that the contestant started with a cheap product, I guess I can’t fault him.  I wouldn’t bet that he was thinking of the following, but any number of remaining products is moot if, say the total ended up at $19.99 and everything else was $2.02 or more.  Of course, that’s (the scenario) not what happened with Rita, just someone that went for broke or whatever, and paid the price for it.  Not the first time, and probably not the last time either.  I agree it was bad (take your time and work your way to $20-22; the setup was okay this time), but I typically don’t have a problem with it.  It does help if you’re absolutely certain with the price of the product.  Of course, if this were Bullseye, Rita might’ve survived; that game would’ve worked for such a blunder (though it could’ve been costly too)

(play-along)

You were told by another moderator the other day that these kinds of posts are unnecessary, and do nothing to add to the discussion. If you want to play along, fine, but you really don't need to tell us how you do. This thread is to comment on the actual episode itself.

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.
