First of all: What an amazing naval honor for Drew, and to be in the company of such noted previous award recipients. A genuinely moving surprise for him.

Farewell to season numbers in the 40s in Money Game. 😊   “49” was chosen today. Great down-to-the wire win!

IUFB #3: The bid of two hundred forty-five dollars is a winner!

I picked the ice pops in Grand Game.

Easy setups in Push Over (very) and More or Less.

Hey! Alaska and Hawaii were left off of the U.S. candy mold in Secret “X”. :-)

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the summer.

I had a hunch that the Money Game player was going to choose 49 before he actually picked it.  He had a tough battle without it, but what a nice backdoor victory plus some nice pocket change!  Looking forward to how often 50 is selected next year (or not)

Speaking of nice, that honor for Drew was the most special part of the show, IMO.  Very much deserved!

A great honor for Drew, that was a lovely segment. Nice to hear the classic theme for a few seconds too.

Pretty mean Grand Game setup for a special, tough choice at the end between the cheese, juice, and ice pops.

Of course 49 wasn't right for the back half in Money Game, but surprisingly the highest choice was right.

The SP setups also weren't that easy in Secret X, but Push Over and More or Less were considerably easier.

A wonderful salute to Drew before the start of the last IUFB. Also, a 5/6 day is really good with Grand Game being a bummer. And looks like the budget was foregone for the last showcases of the season.

A wonderful salute to Drew before the start of the last IUFB. Also, a 5/6 day is really good with Grand Game being a bummer. And looks like the budget was foregone for the last showcases of the season.

Considering how easy some of those pricing games were (and the first contestant even went with the "the longer the distance, the more expensive the trip" rule), the budget was foregone for the episode, period.

I assume Season 50 starts Monday 9/20 (the day after the Emmys), unless they decide to throw in a Summer Beachhouse or Back To School special; I can see a teachers special airing around Labor Day, since a lot of schools will be restarting in-person teaching.

Recap posted.  xlx

Well, that's it for Season 49. Been a crazy season with the lack of an audience, but it hasn't bothered me much as the season has gone on. Thank you again for reading my recaps. I've strived this season to make sure the quality has gone up in terms of errors or typos and quality of descriptions. Thanks for also putting up with me doing recaps in the evening to help make that possible.

I will tell you I will be back for Season 50 supporting the game show I love as a recapper. Thanks to all the staff at Studio 33 who put their time and effort into producing the show under extremely tough circumstances in a major worldwide pandemic. They do the hard work that allow us to enjoy The Price is Right every day at 11 am.

I will be around and at some point, I will of course, debut the Season 50 logos. Enjoy your summer everybody. I got work to do.

Thank you once again Adam for all your work as the recapper-- no worries at all about the late timing on some of them, since as you said it's been a crazy year.

And very well said about the show this season and all the work the crew did to put it on despite the pandemic and not being allowed to have an audience. IMO, the show didn't miss much of a beat this season and really we were very fortunate they were able to do the show at all. That said, it'll still be great if they can have the audience back at least in some capacity next season. Can't wait to see what's in store for season 50!

I thought the show was a great way to end this challenging season.  And wasn't it so refreshing to see contestants who are smart, genuine and poised vs. many of the over-rehearsed characters we got this season? And kudos to Drew for the award and recognition.
