So the announcer's back is to the stage? Does that make any sense?

Wouldn't it look weird when introducing him to have his back to the empty seats because of covid? At least this way for now it looks cool zooming in on him with the stage to his back, i am sure it will change when audiences return

Personally I thought the opening shot in general seemed weird/out of place. For Price it works, but for Wheel? Not so much. I'd just as soon they dropped it, show Jim after the opening ala again Price, not at the opening itself. Just didn't work well to me.

It might take a little getting used to for "Wheel". However, "J!" pre-COVID would occasionally show Johnny Gilbert as he introduced Alex. I kind of suppose WOF wanted to do the same.

I listened to the cues. It's incredible the similarities to Pseudo Echo's 1987 cover of Funky Town. Heavy keytar use in these cues.

Are you saying you think it'd make more sense if he was facing the stage with his back to the camera?

Did they? I am not sure I recall that much. Maybe I am forgetting.

As the camera panned when Alex was introduced, you would often see Johnny from the back introducing him.
