I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more masterful playing of a game’s premiere.

I’m ashamed to admit that it took a little bit of time for me to register that the contestant couldn’t lose with five pennies on the last item.

I agree with you; I don't think I've ever seen such dominance of a game in its very first playing (as least first playing that aired on television).  Still that was fantastic.  The guy felt like he was a LFAT, did his homework, knew his pricing, and was just outright fun to watch.  While I like that people are rewarded with a nice pass to the top prize for knowing the products without using a penny, it is a pleasant surprise that people don't have to earn $25,000 despite being perfect (for instance, there are 4 pennies, not 5, and it's a 50/50 shot at the end).

Tough luck in $1 Million Punch a Bunch.  Right call to toss the 10K back obviously.  Just unfortunate & a downer that the guy had to settle for $2,500

$10,000 is nothing to sneeze at, but I don’t blame the contestant at all for going on in Punch-A-Bunch. Not enough good luck unfortunately.
 
On Range Game:  I didn’t know the rangefinder obeyed verbal commands!   Did you notice that it did stop for a moment when the contestant shouted “Stop!”?  It then kept going until he hit the button.

Basically another giveaway of an expensive prize today. This time in Vend-O-Price.

Fantastic win in Cover Up. And I really liked the 1972 graphics. The reminder of all of the inflation since then? Not nearly as much.
 
Perfect playing of To The Penny! Very exciting to watch, and the display looks fantastic. I think the game is great, and I like that “unusual” dollar amounts are offered.

At least we got to see the other new game To The Penny played, and beautifully I might add!

Also, that $37,000 yacht trip was up there with that tiny house!

Cover Up was nice to see with the 1972 photos! Although 7-Bid Bullseye is the one game I'd rather forget!

Range Game: If only it had taken Andrew another two seconds or so to realize he had to hit the button.

Cover Up: Perfect strategy! April probably would have lost if she had gotten the second number right on the first try. Plus, I never expected the show to have a shout out to the original Bullseye. All in all, that game was a joy to watch.

To the Penny: I like it, though I'm a bit surprised you don't have to risk what you've already won to keep going. But it's a very unique pricing concept with a good looking set. And of course, congrats to Nat for waiting 40 years to be on the show and then playing a what I believe will be a hard game perfectly on its first playing!!

Overall: Kudos to Drew for giving Bob a shout out on each episode this week and kudos to the show for giving Alexis a chance to introduce herself today through the showcase prizes. Today was a very good show.

I remember Stack the Deck’s debut was played as perfectly as you can play it, though the setup was quite a bit easier than what would eventually become the norm of tricky setups and sometimes season-long losing records.

About To the Penny-
It was played so flawlessly that it left me with questions..
There has to be a risk option of some type, right? For instance if a contestant makes mistakes early and has less than 2 pennies left at any point before the $25,000 item they won’t be afforded a second chance for making another wrong pick (since ‘second chances’ cost 2 pennies), so does the game end once you’re unable to buy a second chance or will it be a ‘if you make one more wrong pick you lose what you’ve won so far’ thing?
There seems like a lot of strategies that could develop, though without any bailout or ‘lose everything’ elements (that we know of yet) it’s hard to see how any contestant could ever leave this game with anything less than the $3000 prize.

Love the new game, I also really enjoy the 1500-3000-6000-12000-25000 scale. Nitpicky me would've preferred $24,000 so we could have a regular game offer $24K besides Bag, but it's just nitpicking. (Same reason Millionaire isn't $128,000/$256,000/$512,000 but 125-250-500).
