Yet another pretty good show despite the win/loss ratio, IMO.  A couple of things: I probably wouldn't roll again with over $2,500 in Let Em Roll.  Sure you could earn more cash, but at the very worst, you could leave with $500.  I would've gone again with 3 rolls, not 2.

One Bid was tough for a couple of contestants.  While both made it out, sometimes nice people finish last.  Though the guy that bid $901 may have thought that someone bid $900 (the real ARP).  That was tough to see, but not as tough as a painful 3 Strikes Loss

“3 Strikes”…ouch. I didn’t think it would come down to the final draw after she picked up two strikes early, but it’s still a brutal loss nonetheless.

The probability of ending up with just $500 when rolling 4 dice in Let 'em Roll is 1/12.

The probability of ending up with just $500 when rolling 4 dice in Let 'em Roll is 1/12.

That's fair enough, but it's still the wrong move to go for the car.  Contestants have a 50/50 shot per cube as it relates to rolling a car on each one.  If Heather only rolls one car with her final turn, then the most she could've ended up with cash-wise is $4,500 ($1000 more than what she would have collected had she bailed).  If that had been the case, we're talking about a 22% increase.

Obviously, it's bad luck, but on most days, she still would not have won the car, but maybe she rolls & collect $1,500 or $2,000.  Significantly better but not having that third roll sucked.  That, and only rolling one car was brutal.  If it's 3 cars rolled and $1K or $1.5K, then I wouldn't blame anyone for rolling for a chance at winning.

I can't say Heather was completely unlucky; after that courteous bid instead of a business decision ($1 up), she had a chance at a car instead of Costa Rica (which is still a nice destination).  As the saying goes, nevertheless, "Nice guys & gals finish last" though she really didn't.

“3 Strikes”…ouch. I didn’t think it would come down to the final draw after she picked up two strikes early, but it’s still a brutal loss nonetheless.

I was a bit optimistic since the odds of her drawing a number went up big time.  The early strikes was not cool since she didn't make a mistake at that point, but when she was down to 2 numbers I feared (& made mention to the fact) that she would be doomed if she goofed (thought the 3 was the third number and not the fifth IIRC).  She did; it was a near epic comeback, but one-too many mistakes is costly more often than not

Yeah, I thought she was bound to pull out the third strike immediately after she initially missed on the 3.

After some more calculating, it's actually better to go for the car (with 1 car and 1 roll remaining) rather than keep $2500 if the car is worth more than $8000. With $3000, the car needs to be more than $16,000; with $3500, more than $24,000. In each case, this assumes the car is worth its ARP in cash.

The car was worth just over $22,000, and Heather opened with $3,500.

It would have helped if she had 3 rolls to begin with.  Though it would've been beneficial if she only had the one.  She didn't seem to care at the end of the day, from my viewpoint

Yesterday someone posted about Swap Meet needing an updated set. Maybe. But I would really love to see an update to Take Two. I have never cared for the color scheme, and these days it just looks completely out of place on stage.

It's always great to see 3 Strikes. Was it just me, or did the numbers light up a little slower this time?

Oh man, brutal Three Strikes loss. What prevents people from seeing inside the giant baseball on Three Strikes?  It seems like it would be kind of easy to see inside when you're reaching in there.
