Rather average show today, but an average show within a top-notch lineup.  Speaking of which, 4 out of six pricing games made their debut within a past seasonís premiere (Seasons 18, 28, 29, and 50).  Nice!  I guess if you go by airdate and not production order it would still be 3 out of 6.

I recently joked about how Back to 72 could join Professor Price & Double Bullseye in terms of complete perfection.  It was a rather close call so this game might not be won all the time.  Still, Iím cautiously optimistic that it sticks around beyond this year despite what was previously stated.  Iím not betting on it, sadly, if the winning percentage is super high.

Same result for Let ĎEm Roll as the last playing.  However, eventual showcase winner Nancy was totally correct to go for it twice.  $2,500 might have been questionable even if that was her penultimate cash total instead of her first one.  Just bad luck in this playing.

Despite the fact, people basically go home empty handed despite reaching the third car in Triple Play, itís still one of my favorite games.  Iím not going to sign a petition that supports awarding people a car for each correct pick, but a nice cash consolation prize would be fair enough ($500 / $1,000 and then $2,500 / $5,000).  Tough break.

Showcases were so-so.  No cars obviously, but itís worth it anytime you can go to Italy without paying for the trip to go to Italy

I never liked overbids in the Showcase, but the ones that sting the most are those in the contestant misses by at least $100.  In todays case, I'm gonna need to get over the hangover of this overbid by a mere $151 (Singapore Showcase).

Drop me a line and tell me your most surprising overbids in the 50 year history of The Price is Right.

To be brief, at least most of the overbids have been less surprising, but more painful.  If I had to choose, I'd go with the last showcase that had an ARP less than $10,000

Really hoping this is truly 9561K, Triple Play so soon after 3X was a big shock given the last few years' trend.

Other than that and oddly Roll in a deep slump, a pretty boring show to start off this week. But the lineups have been pretty great for like 4-5 shows in a row now, keep it up.
S4x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Actually 9571K - that's still pretty good! Can only hope we get Big 3s at a higher rate this season.

This is hardly important, but I noticed today that they changed the Back to '72 sign on the 50th anniversary show -- on the first two playings, it didn't flash, the colors were more subdued, and the background colors didn't stick out to the right of the lettering.

Both contestants who've played Let 'em Roll this season have outright lost.  That's pretty freaking bad luck.

I wonder what was up with the chase lights on the doors during Barker's Bargain Bar.  They were frozen on during that game but worked fine the rest of the show.
